Poor guy 🙁 what could have been were it not for injuries. Time to LTIRetire and enjoy your physical mobility with the kiddos.

  2. RedHedRay03

Sell assets high OR way till the car breaks down?

Allvin is playing 4D chess against a dumpster,

  3. ModernArgonauts

    Hopefully Medvedev develops well 🙁

Dude is made of glass, its so unfortunate for him dang. Hope he has a good recovery

  5. Aggravating-Rush9029

Sucks but this is his second go at hip surgery. Not sure how many times you can resurface those bad boys and still come out able to walk your kid to school. Just sucks to see how much effort and passion he put in ontop of the talent for it to be derailed outside of his control.

  6. F for Demko

Injuries have done nothing but destroy this guy’s career lately.

  7. newdias88

So why did we re sign him a year early???

  8. Pistol-Pete7

Feel bad for Demko. Tough look from management for extending him

  9. MemeMeOnce

Everyone knew he had chronic lower body injury problems and he still managed to finesse $25 million American dollars from a « Management » team.

Salute to him and his agent!

I am convinced Demko would have won a couple Vezina’s if he played lots.

And maybe this is unpopular, but Demko would have got the Canucks past the Oilers that year.

Wait, I’ve heard this one before.

Well at least it’s not his knee but this doesn’t exactly make me hopeful he’ll return to form either. I hope he can make a full recovery, such a shame for so much talent to go out to injuries.

  13. Emergency_Wolf_5764

    No surprise, whatsoever.

Called all of this back during the summer when Rutherford and Allvin foolishly decided to keep Demko and give him an extension instead of trading him and promoting Silovs to be the Canucks number one goaltender in tandem with Lankinen.

Got repeatedly criticized and downvoted for it by the usual dim-witted Canucks crowd.

    Watch and learn.

    Next.

time for him to retire. for his family/enjoyment of the rest of his life. Sami Salo 2.0 with all the injuries.

who could have seen this coming

  17. Re-signing him in July of 2025, basically a year before they had to, was at the time a monumentally stupid thing to do.

Do we get cap space from LTIR for this? If so, we could take on a bad contract or two, correct?

  19. Abernathy1234

Ah, what a magical season it’s been.

Full-tank sequence initiated, Tank Commander Footer. All systems are a go and LIVE. Boeser-Buium out, killswitch engaged. Turbo time.

  21. RlyLokeh

Allvin was like We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster

Thats not what a rebuild means Patrick…

  22. Embarrassed-Load5698

All the promise he had is now gone with injury after injury after injury!
Though I’m sure he’s happy to be getting paid no matter what.
    Well done Canucks!

  23. DanielTigerr

    $75MM for Boeser and Demko.

    This happened 6 months ago.
