Trade Matthieu Joseph and kyrou
Favorite player Robert Thomas favorite former players Haden Schwartz and David Perron it would be nice to bring one of them back
This team is exactly what it says on paper. Almost dead last in everything, and it's a shame because it does have some good players on it it's just that those players don't care no pride
I dont care if the team goes on another run, for what to play the team that just beat the crap out of us the other night 6-1 and a team that has only lost 4 games in regulation all year. Stick a fork in this team they are done and I think its time to move on from some players and maybe some favorites get a top 5 pick and rebuild this team.
Since the entire Ottawa team wants to sleep with each other’s wives. What’s the chances of us getting Brady?
I've been a Blues fan since 1967. It took 52 years to see them lift the Cup. In all the time they've been in the league and all the Blues teams that have come and gone this edition is the worst. I hope Armstrong can pull some magic soon.
Get a new coaching staff, players aren't responding
Dvorsky not NHL Ready
Did Steve Savard mention you two's contribution…you know the jinx?!?!? And I'm not liking the Panthers in this first game.
Parayko with 0 goals is incomprehensible.
I heard a rumor that we could have traded Buchnevich and Armstrong overpriced him. Rumor is he wants a 1st round pick and MORE for Buchnevich. That contract is gonna screw us, if someone wants him, captilize on that chance.
I think Thomas and Carbo will be a deadly combo next year
thomas to la for byfield?? what's the +??
The only way we could get Byfield is if we traded Thomas. We don’t have another player of his caliber to trade and they’d want a center because they’re losing kopitar and Byfield. Byfield, Liam greentree, a 1st & 2nd in 2026 may do it.
Perfect scenario:
Trade Kyrou for Jason Robertson. (Dallas can’t afford Robertson going forward, but they could afford Kyrou and we can. They’re the same position so it works out great, If they request a sweetener do it)
Trade Schenn for a 1st. Trade Faulk for a 1st. Trade Buch for whatever we can get.
Now next years draft: 3 1st round picks.
Next years forward lineup:
McKenna Thomas Robertson
Holloway Dvorsky snuggerud
Neighbours suter Carbonneau
Toropchenko stenberg walker/kaski
We’d more than likely be picking top 3 if we cut the roster so short this season. Substitute Ivar Stenberg for McKenna if you like. If we ended up with Verhoeff that would be sweet too but prefer a elite forward. Plenty of cap space for a big Robertson contract and Holloway contract. This would never happen but man would it be sweet. Finally, make Neighbours the captain.
As far as tonight… HATE to see Broberg go down. LOVE to see Schenn fight for his guy. Maybe this game will turn things around. As far as this season… ive thought alot about this. I know this team is struggling, but… this IS the same team that was one of the best in hockey after the 4 nations last year. Same team that should have beat the Jets in the playoffs. SAME TEAM. Idk why they are performing the way they have this year. Part of it is goal tending. Part of it is injuries. Alot of it is just a mystery, really. But i think… you have to just ride this out. Wait for things to change. Ok… sell high on Faulk, if its gonna be a haul. I guess Schenn… at his age. But forget about trading Thomas. Or Kyrou. Or Buchy. Or Neighbors, etc. These guys are really, really good players. Yes, they have underperformed… i know. But again… this IS a really good team, on paper. This WAS a really good team, last year. Things will come together again. Maybe this year, maybe next year. Bring along Stenberg. Dvorsky. Maybe bring up Carbo next year. Theres room in the lineup. Keep the core as it is. They are too good of players to sell away.
Last comment (tonight) lol. Just have been thinking about this team. Yes, the goal tending has been mostly terrible. And yes the injuries. But also… as far as why this team has been so bad… don't you have to blame the coaching, as well. I mean… i love Monty. He seems like a great guy. And he had alot of success last year with this team. But with the level of talent this team DOES HAVE… you almost HAVE to blame the coaching, right? I hear Monty say… "Get to the net, get to the net" like a broken record. And yeah… thats important. But theres SO MUCH more to having a good offense. I dont know… im searching for answers. This team is too talented to play like this night after night. Something is amiss, for sure. Anyway… thanks for letting me vent lol. This show means alot to me… bleeding St. Louis Blue the way that i do. Thanks for being there for me, day after day. One day… were gonna be talking Stanley Cups. And these dark days will be behind us: )
My favorite player by far is Oskar Sunqvist. Hardest working man on the ice.
Trading Kyrou would be a huge mistake. He is an over 30 goal scorer. When he scored that many goals, look who he was playing with. He's not doing it this year, because he doesn't have the star players the Blues traded off to help him. He can't carry the team by himself. You can't expect the helpers to move up and take over the star position, and expect good results. That is the problem with the team this year.
Let's face it, Doug started blowing the team up after winning the cup. Petro was the first major causalty. It's all on Dougie and draft team, no emphasis on defense, then Bolduc this year.
