  1. Back then, if you were with a group of people in Michigan, most of them would be wearing Red Wings gear of some sort.
    Now, it's all Lions gear.

  2. Thank you Mr. Federov. I've been a Red Wings fan since I can remember – memories of my father & grandfather taking me to games at Olympia when I was a small boy. All my life I waited and wondered if I would see a Stanley Cup in my lifetime, or my son's. Thanks to you and the team of 1997 (and beyond) you made a lifelong wish come true for both of us and I will never be able to express to you or the Wings organization how much that means to me & my son, even to this day. Thank you again, to you sir and that whole team and organization, there are so many memories from those days..

  3. @1:07 🤟🥰🥲💓 takes me back…this made my eyes water. what a time for hockey and what an amazing time to be a wings fan. thank you for the memories.

  4. Thank you, Mr. Federov and congratulations to you! What a well-deserved honor. Thanks also to all of the "Russian Five", and the rest of our incredible team, who made Hockeytown so EXHILARATING and unified during that time period! One never met a stranger in the D back then, if they were too, a fellow hockey fan!

  5. The most electric skater I've ever seen. Sergei and the Captain on the ice at the same time was ELECTRIC

  6. The 90’s Red Wing Hockey was unbelievable to be a part of. The energy and passion the team had and us fans had for them and Detroit will never be forgotten or replaced.

Thank you Sergei for all the amazing memories, and for the risks/sacrifices you made to step on the plane that brought you to Detroit.

God bless you and your family and Hockeytown wishes you the VERY BEST

  7. They had training camp at the IMA in Flint, my dad would pick me up at lunchtime from my work. We would go watch them and it only cost a dollar. Was some great times with my dad. Thank you, Serge.
