  1. Not saying that Raymond wasn’t a problem and that a change wasn’t needed.

But I think we should temper our expectations following the goalie coach change. Don’t expect a huge 180 in their performances, at least not right away.

They hired a boxer to teach goaltenders to fight?

Do we know who’s replacing him in Laval? For Fowler.

  4. Marciano has been working with our goalies in Hamilton/St John’s/Laval for 12 years.

After an horrible start, Dobes made a 180° in his Laval rookie season to the point where he was carrying the team hard in the last few months.

    I’m carefully optimistic.

What he did with Primeau too is really good. Primeau always not deliver in mtl but when he was in Laval he was a stud and Marciano sure help a lot

  6. Okay but now the good guy isn’t with Fowler?

Marciano:  » Ok puck move from down low to point for a shot, what are you doing? »

    Dobes: « I don’t know, I stop puck. »

Marciano: « Ok that’s good I guess. Now you have a deep cross crease pass. What’s your move? »

    Dobes: *shrugs* « I stop puck. »

Marciano: *Gives him a stick tap* « Good chat Jakub »

A change was warranted, but the goalie’s performance this season is way more on themselves than any coach.

I not expecting too much of a meaningful change, especially with Monty.
