I can’t read the article but there is no valid defense.
Fuck man we’re back to the days of being a clownshow org.
Jonas wants to take scalps. He’s a vulture on a carcass. And the Leafs are a fresh corpse.
So The Athletic reached out for comment before publishing the story, Treliving didn’t respond or comment, then goes on radio to immediately respond after the story is posted?
Isn’t it hilarious that Brad was basically told to go and fight this report within hours of it coming out, like a little lap dog? God forbid the brand get critiqued, go out there and defend our honor!!! Not like there’s work to be done with the roster, right?
How about we go work on something related to the actual job instead of doing damage control.
There is a clear correlation between how it is now, and how we did it before. We could take rehabilitation projects, and basically turn that player’s game around for the better. Look at klingberg.
There is literally no defence to it’s lack of operation. This team needs a sports science department. Especially because we have a lot of 30+ year old vets on this team.

Have an awful feeling we’ve entered another long dark period for the org. The people at the top (Treliving and above – including the decision makers at MLSE) have completely lost the plot.
As long as Keith Pelley is in charge, this team is going nowhere.

I firmly believe as long as this team is owned by a corporation or investment group we will continue along the path of the past (almost 60) years. There is no owner that has the desire to win it all. There are a bunch of managers with letters as titles that all have a different target. That target is how their bonuses are paid and THAT is what they work towards. Our “culture” is corporate culture.

Treliving was a disaster in Calgary, so we hire him.
The Carlo trade was beyond horrible.
Mo is infuriating to watch and players who care don’t get additional ice time, leading to the disaster on the ice.
Stop going to the games as that is the only way something will change.
