Well that’s just about as fucking ***crushing*** of a loss as we’ve had all season.
We played poorly. Didn’t deserve a result but were 8 seconds away from one. Left Tarasov out to dry the whole 1st period. Then he gave up a muppet of a shot in the 2nd. Tkachuk’s heroics late in the 2nd ultimately are all for naught.
aaaaand Marchand is hurt again missing the whole 3rd period.
Just a devastating result on all fronts.

I dont wanna hear a single thing ab the refs tn, they were completely dogshit, but they were dogshit for both sides, having a 4 minute power play with 8 minutes left and not being able to get a single sog is a fucking disgrace, this team will not make the playoffs, and im done hearing the excuses from every single person

Its very difficult to hang in there til the players get back when as soon as someone does get back we lose someone else. Its fucking cursed.
Refs were going in tonight…questionable calls on both sides but that goaltender interference on Mikkola was BS. He was pushed into Hofer and couldn’t avoid him.
Every team that we needed to lose… won. 😩
I hope there’s a long winning streak in their future, as that seems to be the best case for getting back in the playoff race.

The officials were absolutely atrocious tonight but cats had a 4 min PP and nothing to show for it. Too many no look back passes and giveaways… Lack luster D for the first half the game…Man that was an extremely frustrating loss.

Guys guys we are back to back cup winners. They’ve played an entire extra season of the hardest hockey you can play. An off season to let everyone recover sucks but it isnt the end of the world especially when we have basically everyone in the core signed

Can’t stay healthy, can’t convert on PPs to take leads late in games, can’t get consistent goaltending, can’t hold leads and force OT enough.
Marchand and Lundell are probably not playing again until after the olympics. It’s going to take an epic run post olympic break.
Whether reality or not, this one really feels like the closer on our playoff hopes. We’re too beat up to make it happen. I don’t like sharing a “doomer” opinion, but I think we’re almost certainly out of contention without a miracle.
