Not even a bum season necessarily, were at roughly the same amount of points we were at last season, just the east is what it is and of course the injuries
Am I reading the schedule wrong?? If I remember correctly there’s still 29 games of regular season hockey? We aren’t even at the Olympics break yet. This team gets hot for one week and we’re in a wild card spot. Our roster is a fucking hospital ward right now and we’re still alive. Scrolling this sub you would think we got eliminated last night.
Last night was honestly such an embarrassing effort. It looked like we had Chucky and Greer who played like lions, Samo who at least tried (bless his heart) and the rest of our lineup couldn’t care less and is probably busy making olympic plans. Just embarrassing. If you try and you lose thats one thing but Ekblad just gliding back from their goal line right before they breakout and score? Embarrassing.
A buddy of mine thats an Oilers die hard keeps asking weekly « what are you gonna do when the Panthers don’t make the playoffs » its been months of this now, I stopped answering and just reply with « 2 cups » now, lol.

The situation for Florida isn’t optimal, of course. But it’s also very easily explained by the injuries and fatigue. Plenty of the players will be heading to the Olympics, but many more are getting a nice break.
As my flair indicates, I know to not count the Panthers out.
To be fair, the entire roster is basically an ER unit & the East is stacked this year
3 straight Final appearances will wear down anyone. We’ll still be fine and hated by the rest of the world. And that’s OK.
