Comme à son habitude, Jean-Charles Lajoie a tenté de créer une polémique pour faire parler de lui. Avec cette citation : « Suzuki ? Répétons-le : on vous aime bien, mais vous méprisez la culture québécoise!» Qu’est-ce qui ne va pas avec Jean-Charles Lajoie ?
En tant que québécois français, je me fiche de savoir si Suzuki parle français ou non. Je m’en fiche si Suzuki n’aime pas la poutine ou Céline Dion. Il fait gagner le Tricolore et il adore la ville de Montréal et c’est ce que veulent les partisans.
Jean-Charles Lajoie devrait prendre sa retraite, son temps est écoulé, mais il ne comprend pas comment il est devenu la plus grosse plaisanterie de Montréal Sport Média.

Je suis souverainiste et nationaliste.
Jamais l’organisation n’a fait autant d’efforts pour que les joueurs parlent français et pour embaucher des francophones pour l’alignement.
Je comprends que le français de Suzuki n’est pas incroyable, mais allez écouter Koivu en entrevue dans le temps pour comparer.
Je croient que le club est beaucoup plus proche des Québécois qu’à l’époque. C’est pas parfait, mais il y a des efforts importants.

Suzuki DOES speak French. I wrote this before, and I think it’s even truer now… I am convinced that if Nick talks to a kid asking for an autograph, he can ask « Joues-tu au hockey? » « Quelle position? » and « Tu as quelle âge? » and will understand 100% the answers. Now, can Suzuki discuss astrophysics in French? Probably not… AND THAT’S OK. I want Habs players to be positive influence for kids, they don’t have to be social warriors of values of Québec, JiC is stupid and just a freaking rage baiter holding into his relevancy creating false controversy most fans don’t care about.
I am fairly good with English, but this came after YEARS of learning and using it daily for my job and even now, I wouldn’t do public speaking in front of thousands of people. Some have a personality that allows them to do this, some don’t. AND IT’S OK.

He took over the mantle as the worst since (Michel?) Villeneuve has disappeared. Always hated JCL ever since I first heard him on 110%. Guy just wants to rage bait people. And when things are going too well for Montreal, he always brings the “stars of the team hate Quebec” or “not enough French on the team” aspect. He probably thinks Matheson isn’t a “true”Quebecois.
