So so glad he made the Olympic team, and I’m so pumped that he’s been playing lights out since. Not only should he not be the extra forward, he might play higher in the lineup than anticipated.

Putting him on the PK is like a cheat code he’s so good at it, a true elite two way center.  I really think our ability to beat top teams starts with him, he’s so good at shutting down star players.

Remove Scheifele and that’s elite company

He’s really picked up his game lately. He was still producing even when he wasn’t 100% but the last couple games have been extremely encouraging. Kinda wild that he’s top 10 in scoring while he definitely has another gear.

Also, shout out to Dach who looked very good these last couple games. I like Texier but I feel like a player of Dach’s archetype is tailor made to play with Nick and Cole. I really hope he can stay healthy and fill the hole Slaf left on the top line.

Somehow he is still underrated in this sub. People are always saying “Demidov will be this teams best forward in a couple years” and truthfully I see that as people overlooking how good Suzuki & even Caufield are. People forget Suzuki would have similar or a better rookie season than Demidov if he was surrounded by this Habs team. To me if you put Demidov on the Habs teams Suzuki AND Caufield played on early in their careers he would not have the production we see from him this year

Can’t wait to see him play at the Olympics!

  7. Holy_Nerevar

On Sportsnet, yesterday, they gave a surprising stat: McDavid and Suzuki are the only captains with more than 60 points, this season.

  8. Large_Seesaw_569

Pretty crazy that 3 of the top 10 are not going to the Olympics

  9. lfab1400

Mcdavid, Nathan and Mack are freaks wtf. Absolutely cannot wait to see them at the olympics.

  10. In pretty good company I might add. Except Sheifele. Fuck Sheifele.

“SuZuKi iS a dECeNt 2Nd cEnTeR oN aNy oTHeR tEaM”

I laugh every time habs haters try to downplay Suzuki. And watch out! He becomes better as the season moves forward, we’ll see him go higher and pass a few more players before EOS

    “Suzuki isn’t a true 1C”

  13. excelqc

He has now 101 pts in his last 82 games.

  14. On pace for 96, tell me again how Suzie is not a first line center.

  15. pageles

I watch every Habs game. Suzuki is quietly consistent and produces. But McDavid and MacKinnon are just crazy. No way we can get McDavid for a couple picks is there?? Lol

    With cap hits of $12m $12m $9.5m $.9m $14m $12m $17m $12m $8.5 and… $7.8m until 2030

  17. Professional_Fox9764

One year ago he wasn’t a true 1C according to the haters. Since that he has 101 points in 82 games playing a 200 ft game.

  18. CommandHot3245

Olympic team got their new Patrice Bergeron

  19. sbrooksc77

top 10 in all players in points and the favorite for the selke but not a top 10 center to some people lol. So right here in this list Drai usually doesnt play center.

    So I place above him

    mcdavid

    mackinnon

Celebrini (close because his defensive game isnt close to suzukis level yet)

    End of list.
