The most unrealistic part about this is that we’d win against the Blues, those guys are legit our kryptonite
Yea Maloney totally trying to make playoffs. When you try to make playoffs you typically sell off your top of lineup players to accumulate draft picks. That’s how you strengthen your chance to make playoffs. You also retain salary in traded to improve your draft pick return. All teams trying to make playoffs also didn’t sign big name free agents and only sign your young players to long term contracts. These are all totally big moves that teams trying to chase a playoff spot make and not rebuilding teams. Rebuilding teams would never accumulate draft picks and build their roster through youth and the draft.

Saw the ‘screw it’ idea. And just skipped to my comment. I can’t believe there are still fans that want to try to make the playoffs…..
I can’t even imagine why anyone would want that at this point. I can understand at the beginning of the year how people could be on team playoffs (or whatever they call it), there was at least a reasonable chance they could make it. But after over half a season of brutal, boring hockey where the team has been bottom of the league in offensive production, how can the most exciting thing not be picking up a top 3 draft pick? Making it to the playoffs and getting incinerated is not fun at all. I was there when they got blown away by the Avs back in 2019 and it just sucked. And that was a far better team than the borderline AHL roster we’re icing at the moment.
