That would be such a glorious win win
Marcus Nordmark seems like an interesting prospect with the panthers pick, seems like a potential playmaker with hands, which we could use.
Oscar Hemming seems like another potential value pick after having to sit out the beginning of the year and now playing at Boston College

There is a highly unlikely, but not completely impossible, scenario where the Blackhawks have the most insane lottery luck of all time and end up with the #1 and #2 picks in the 2026 draft.
The collective meltdown in r/hockey would be glorious to behold.

We also have the Leafs’ 2nd round and they are having a disastrous year too. We could have 4 picks in the top 40. And KFC has a history of moving into the back end of the first round, that Leafs pick will likely be key.

Another D could be good insurance this year with some time to develop. Anyone have opinions on D in 1st?
I feel like, as frustrating as the injuries and stop/start development have been this year, it’s about as good an outcome as possible. We’re essentially going to push for one more influx of talent into the prospect pool, depress the value of a few extensions, and then it’s going to be on KD and friends to incentivize folks to want to come here in FA or to trade assets for help now.
If you had, say the 5th OA and 9th OA, would you package them up to try and get to 1-3? And would there be takers?
