It wouldn't matter to some fans what any of of Danny, Keith, Dan or Rick said. They are happy to be angry. I'll let the plan unfold and see how it works once the prospects, cap space and draft capital plays out. I'm not worried about a kid being taught to be a pro who slumps in his sophomore season. I saw Bedard last year. Michkov will not blow another off season, that's for sure.

The only player on the roster that actually matters is Matvei Michkov. His development is the lynchpin of this supposed rebuild. Who cares about 10+ year guys like Couturier, Konecny or Sanheim anymore
He didn’t go to Sochi because there wasn’t room he went to Sochi because they wouldn’t let him play the way he plays, he was disregarding veterans so they sent him away.
For a brief time back when they hire Chuckles the Incompetent Clown as GM, I thought ‘give him a chance’. FFS, I was wrong. He turned out to be one of the most god awful GMs
With Tocchet, it sounds like he mismanaged Vancouver and couldn’t help people coexist/work together. Not to mention he has not been a ‘lights out’ coach this far. Which brings us where we are today. Is it Michkov? Is it Tocchet? Is it both. We all know the flyers have an incredible amount of holes and the first three months were a mirage. But the big question is Tocchets ability help this kid and help the plays he is dealt with as well as future players brought in.
In addition to the above, The flyers desperately need to cultivate the the draftees from last summer and have a great draft next summer. They need to get another top ten pick and with the way they are playing, it could be closer to bottom five and letter lottery luck. However, even a better draft slot is not a guarantee. DB right now is rightfully questionable about his draft choices (Jett). WTF are th scouts looking at? Are they drafting the wrong players and/or is their player development horrendous. Also, should Brent Flahr still be here? He is a partner of Chuckles the Incompetent Clown. Maybe he should be out of the organization???
Lots of problems and candidly the organization has proven itself incapable of fixing one problem let alone multiple. I have been a fan since 80, but over the past ten years, especially promoting that failure of an Oaf in Homer to President, the repeated having and managerial incompetence have destroyed my interest in the team
First. Fire Briere. Stop with the former Flyers. Briere botched the Cutter Gauthier situation and his track record as GM is abysmal.
And Vancouver fans are still laughing at Philly for the Tocchet hire. Again, stop hiring people just because they are former Flyers. Get rid of him too.

As for players, Coots is done. Has been for awhile. He doesn't even belong on a minor league team.
TK would be on the 2nd or 3rd line on a good team.
The goalies all stink. Yes, ALL of them. Vladar could be a backup. Maybe. But he should not be the starter.
Michkov is overrated. Give him a chance under a new coach, but if he can't get it together, find some poor ignorant trading partner, and get rid of him while there is at least some perception of value.
And last, stop idolizing former players and handing them jobs they are not qualified for. At some point this franchise is going to try to hand a job to Claude Giroux, who just missed out on the Florida championships and is now rotting away in Ottawa. He is going to retire Cupless. Let's be honest, 2010 was a great year, but G's playoff record after getting handed the 'C' in 2013 is absolutely terrible. He was not a leader, and should not be trusted in a leadership position. But the way the team and fanbase all fawn over him whenever the Sens come to town is downright embarrassing, and you know someday they are going to try to hand him a job. Please don't.
The Philadelphia Flyers have had poor management for decades much like the Toronto Maple Leafs. Here are some examples of their failures. Traded Sergei Bobrovsky who went on to win 2 Vezina Trophies and 2 Stanley Cup championships, and is the best goalie in the NHL. Traded Jeff Carter who then went on to help win 2 Stanley Cup championships with the L.A. Kings. Then there is the Cutter Goutier fiasco. Yes, he did not want to play for the Flyers, but I believe the main reason was that he did not want to play under John Tortorella and his head games. If the Flyers had the good sense to fire Torts earlier they might have secured him. He currently has 23 goals so far this year which would have put him one ahead of Travis Konecny, their leading goal scorer. He also is one of the league leaders regarding shots on goal.
The problem with Matvei Michkov is that his hand speed and skating skills are too slow to be a top goal scorer. This means that on breakaways and shots in front of the net he seems to always to find the pads of the goalie. Compare his shooting & skating to someone like Macklin Celebrini, Connor Bedard or Matthew Schaefer. Those are the kind of guys you build a team around, not someone like Michkov. Rick Tocchet did not give him the slow reflexes he has demonstrated thus far. You know it took 3 years for Guy Lafleur to fulfill his potential. Montreal brought him along slowly with limited playing time much like Tocchet has with Michkov. However, Guy scored 130 goals in a single junior campaign and was clearly ready to take off like a rocket (sorry Maurice) when he got more playing time. I doubt we will ever see that with Michkov. Until the Flyers and Comcast are committed to hiring an excellent management team to turn things around such as the Sabres, Red Wings, Ducks and Sharks have done, they will be lurking in the basement with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I really hate the way Rick Tocchet handled Conor Bedard, Matty Beniers, Kent Johnson, Lucas Raymond, and Andrei Svechnikov in their sophomore slumps. Ridiculous how he didn't support them.

Tired of Michkov apologists. He has been playing like shit. He came to camp out of shape. His skating is terrible. He worked on nothing in the off season to get better and yet you want him rewarded with Power Play time and more ice time. Look at other young Russian players his age around the league. They can be interviewed in English already. He reminds me of Nail Yakupov or Kappo Kakko.
