Watching them bring that board out, I think it was *barely* big enough to get a puck through. We thought they were going to have Thunder Bug kick it in.
They should. It was tacky as fuck.
It is insane that they didn’t actually put up the full amount money and donate it. Like jackel said, just have one of the mascots push it in if/when the person missed.
Easy PR and its done. If you were not going to do it, just do not have the shot/situaiton in the first place. Instead they just look like a-holes.
I was thinking in my head while it was happening why can’t you just donate that regardless if the shot is made or not

The worst possible look for the NHL. If they’d have done nothing, they’d look less shitty. A PR disaster of their own making.
Why put classless in quotation marks? It was pretty damn classless of them to decide on a charity donation through a game when they’re a multibillion dollar organization

Guys, they probably just assumed this game was blacked out for everyone and no one outside the stadium would know.
