We’ve really stuck our Foote in shit this year.

  2. Shaftell

What’s the point of replacing Foote right now? Just let him be the coach until the end of the season and then bring someone proper in who has an actual system. I’m a bit concerned for the development of our young guys under Foote so they gotta bring in someone who will prioritize the development of the young players.

In 17 of their last 21 games, Vancouver has trailed by at least 2 goals. In 13 of those 21 games, they’ve trailed by at least 3 goals. This team is really bad. This isn’t going to be a 2 – to 3-year fix. This is likely going to take at least 4 to 5 years. Also, no Foote is staying, and he should. This team is tanking.

Why do I keep reading about Foote firing after every bloody game.

    We are tanking.

    WE ARE TANKING.

They will not replace him when he’s in the first year of a fresh contract.. why do people keep talking about him being canned.

Stop trying to make ‘Foote fired’ happen. Its not gonna happen.

  5. RoboCartmen

Its perfect! Keep it going! DO NOT REPLACE FOOTE, PATRIOTS ARE IN CONTROL!

  6. _GregTheGreat_

There is no reason to replace Foote now. This team is clearly tanking and even Aqua knows playoffs are near impossible. He’s not gonna pony up to pay another coach to go on a run and take us out of a guaranteed top-3 pick.

I’d say it’s a 50/50 chance he’s gone in the offseason and a very high chance he’s gone the year after.

Guys hear me out… DuPont is worth the run back with Foote.

  9. InformationFunny3817

Tank commander Foote relieve your duties.

  10. notarealredditor69

It’s the inverse Shoresy, this team will never WIN again

  11. Spare_Entrance_9389

We need to go all in on a player that is going to move some jerseys.

  12. dunker_dude

Yayyyyyyy the tank is going great!!!!

  13. Mistercorey1976

What is with all the fools complaining about Foote. He is the tank commander and the man we need for least two more seasons. It’s not about #1 this year because Alvin will pick stenberg. It’s about the #1 next year and we NEED commander Foote.

  14. sunnyrainbows13_

why is anyone not rooting for a tank right now? like genuinely?

  15. outofnowhere1010

You don’t replace him now . But the dude needs to be told to play the young guys by his boss. He continues to limit their ice time ! Experiment with the young guys ! Put them in situations that are going to give them confidence. WTF is the point of playing Kane on the 1st line ? Foote is gone next year in my mind though . Manny is the guy to develop the young guys .

  16. lukemeup

Let the tank continue rolling on. I went from the stage of apathy to being content when they lose yet another game. Say ‘no’ to the mushy middle.

  17. Ministerofgoons

Nah, I know the idea that Foote needs to be fired due to the vibes is picking up steam on this sub and in the media but I can’t get on board with it.

A rebuild that is commonly cited as doing things the right way is the SJS and they didn’t fire Quinn/hire Warsofsky until the summer of 2024. After they already secured a 32nd place finish and the best odds to draft 1st.

I think NHL players are far more resilient to adopting the losing mindset than people give them credit for and the team would be making a mistake by firing Foote early and bringing in his replacement (Manny or otherwise). The Blues are absolutely putrid this season as well and if we got a new coach bump for even just a couple of weeks that would seriously damage the lock we have on finishing 32nd.

Worst part of sports is fanbases. You want a top 3 pick? But you also go wah wah too many losses? All that matters is losing for a franchise changing player.

Who cares about winning games, i hope they lose all the remaining games.

  19. glennis_the_menace

Love it! Keep the tank rolling.

  20. MoodyJ87

Hopefully this hockey terrorist never lands behind a bench again

  21. eexxiitt

This sub is adamant we try and retool asap lol. We’ve only just begun the tank and it’s going to be like this for at least 3 years (hopefully). Buckle up and show aquaman we can handle a true tank.

  22. djbaerg

You don’t fire the tank commander when you have a clear path to tank victory.

  23. A glass half full guy would have said 7 wins in the past 25 games.

  24. EpicPotato806

The teams that lost to the Canucks should have points deducted at this point

  25. NoticedGenie66

45GF, 86GA in that span (not including shootouts). 2.14GF/GP, 4.10GA/GP. That’s generally not ideal.

Colorado isn’t even scoring at the pace that we have been letting them in lol. They have a season pace of 3.85GF/GP.

  26. 76bigdaddy

    9 points of a possible 42.

    Tanks a lot.

  27. PhiveAM

This is what tanking, which so much of Canucks nation has wanted for so long feels like. Buckle up, it’s gonna be bumpy.

  28. roguetowel

Only three home games since before Remembrance Day. Why go to Rogers these days?

  29. lllaszlo

And the Rangers are closing in…

I like the idea people had, once your out of the playoffs, highest total points from that point gets the best chance of first pick…

If we can play towards next year after being eliminated, it removes the incentive to be bad on purpose.

  30. Looney_forner

“Looks like a 3rd overall draft pick”

    -Gary Bettman

  31. Disgusting. We shoulda lost in Seattle and Washington too. 😡

  32. Quinn was the problem. We won 3 in a row after he was gone.
