    People who think he’s bad defensively just hasn’t seen him play, they see a small offensive defender and think he’s bad at defence without actually watching to find out. I’m not saying he’s seider, miro, mcavoy caliber but he’s far from bad in his own end

    Makes sense, he’s 2nd in the league for even strength points by a Dman.

    Dobson tied for 10th, 1 point behind 6th.

    If Dobson had top pp minutes he’d be right up there with all those guys too. Been stellar for us.

    +/- is definitely a really good stat to look at. By itself, it really is meaningless, but it is an amazing stat to look at with context.

    In this context, it does not express how good defensively he is… It just shows how much offensive impact he has on this team.

    His EVGA is practically the same as Matheson, Dobson and Carrier.

    He’s not bad defensively by any means, but I wouldn’t say that he’s elite defensively (yet?).
