I’m excited for Martone but have zero faith in the Flyers ability to further develop him.
Go listen to the PHLY podcast with Appleyard where they discuss Martone in detail. Part of what is intriguing is that Martone can play multiple roles: can be a power forward, can be a playmaker, etc. He’s got a ton of potential.
Not gonna lie I was overhyped for martone before the world juniors but after watching a handful of games, not that he was bad (obviously) but he just wasn’t as dominant as I kinda hoped he’d be. He wasn’t even the best player on team Canada, was he even top 3 on the team either?
Still though, hes going to be a fantastic piece, but I guess I was expecting him to mop the floor with those kids.
I don’t want to jinx anything but Martone is definitely going to put up 10+ seasons of 100+ points for us
Aw man is his name really Will Scouch? I saw scouching and I thought, « Someone made a series about being a scout from the couch! » I thought that was pretty neat.
But alas, this was a good watch!
