  1. At even strength, I prefer Michkov on the left wing. He likes to carry the puck between his body and the boards. On the LW, he is attacking forward. On the RW, he is heading towards the blueline. Good teams will leave him out there all game.

Play him on the right side on power play 1. More set plays and more open space.

  2. This was a bad look for Tocchet, the fact that Breier had to do this media session probably pissed him off, and Michkov playing almost 16 minutes in the game is hardly a coincidence. I think Tocchet got drilled yesterday behind closed doors and rightly so. Michkov is the future of this team and Tocchet needs to bend over backwards to help him, and put rest the “it’s all for the crest” nonsense. This is not the movies, this is reality with today’s athletes.

  3. “Go away to detach?” The way this club is playing I would have all the non-Olympians at the rink seven days a week at 6 AM. The bag skate will last until every member of the club vomits. (Last player to vomit gets the next day off.) Then I would have the maintenance staff scoop up a sample of each player’s vomit and have the medical staff test it to ensure club members are not ingesting food to hasten the nauseating process.

Finally I would spend another 90 minutes working on the club’s forechecking, back-checking, cycling the puck down low, power-play, and penalty kill. Then the club members could have the rest of the day off to recover.

  4. Of course Jason loved Briere's "media availability." It was embarrassing to even HAVE to do it! You're covering for a club president saying "we have to remind the coaches to play the young players." It's all window dressing because the rebuild, power play, and pipeline are a complete utter JOKE! Don't be fooled people.

  5. How are we going backwards from the 3 now wasted years of a "Standard" John Tortorella instilled. What's the standard now? Blame game? Why… if going backwards was the intention…why rush the keys to hand to Rick? All 4 wheels are spinning. They were better With Kuzmenko and Laughton. This is clown show.. are we following the NY Jets or something? Wake me up… or them.. they get paid MILLIONS to play hockey and they can't figure out the Man Advantage? It's self explanatory! You're outnumbering the opponent and when you aren't 5v5. It's called "shorthanded" when we are down a man. #Newsflash 🙄

  6. Best play of the game was Zegras' reverse hit that led to a goal. Wish he would use his body a bit more like that.

  7. I'm down on Sanheim at this point in time. He doesn't seem to be playing a disciplined game. I think he makes too many mental mistakes.

  8. In my opinion if things don't change in Philly Toc is going to kill Michkov's career there. No wonder Cutter wanted out of there. The organization as a whole has been dysfunctional for years now. Also the fact that Danny said they're not going to do anything at the trade deadline it's ridiculous. Something has to be done free agency has dried up trades are going to have to be made for a center in a defenseman.

  9. The Flyers had a solid game. They are getting their groove back, hopefully. So tired of looking at Tankathon!!! 😞
