There’s two stories right now:
1) He was out with his mom, some kid started either insulting his mom, or attacked his mom, and he punched the kid and broke his jaw
2) he was out with his team at a local pub celebrating the game, and they were allowed in as underage if they wore wristbands so they couldn’t be served, but he slipped his off, got caught, got kicked out, another kid chirped him, and he broke his jaw…
The thing is it’s pretty much confirmed that he was at that pub, so at least some of the second part is confirmed.
Also, if someone was physically assaulting his mom and he stepped in to defend her it’s unlikely that we’d get to this point of a felony assault charge filed against him…
No one really knows anything, but the spin is coming out hard, and don’t forget he’s got an agent who’s had a couple of days to get ahead of this story and try and control the narrative…

I’d say if McKenna punched the guy once or twice over a few seconds to shut him up and that’s when the damage happened then it was probably deserved. If he continued to give a beating after the guy was down that is not okay and we’ve got a problem. Let’s hope it’s the first situation and he goes on to be a Canuck!

Also was reported he removed a wristband that stated was a minor so he could get booze and the altercation was unrelated to family so who knows at this point. One is certainly more « honorable » than the other. Still gotta wait for more clear facts.
