Rumour going around is some drunk dude was calling McKenna’s mum a whore. I feel like they’re behind him for a reason.

  2. eexxiitt

Nothing yikes about this. This is how a typical 18 year old memes his buddy lol

  3. Dad-Fart-Jokes

So all I’m hearing “ is he can fight too? “

  4. ClassicChrisstopher

Kid didn’t get his jaw broken for no reason. He clearly said some fucked up shit, apparently about his mom.

Honestly, a dude that can stand up for himself thats an important quality. FIRST 1OA

Philly is full of massive mouth pieces when it comes to sports… had friends have an awful experience as visiting fans at an Eagles and Phillies game. Pretty sure the guy with the broken jaw wasn’t innocent

  7. PotentialPea2419

My kid is 17 and this seems par for the course.

I think a bit more context is needed here. It’s reported that the victim called McKenna’s mom a whore. I think it’s pertinent to know if this insult was the first and only moment of antagonism from the one who got punched, or if it was the last of a continued barrage of antagonism. That will make a HUGE difference in the perception of the situation. If it was the one and only insult, McKenna needs to learn how to let cooler heads prevail. If McKenna couldn’t get away from this guy targeting him with multiple verbal attacks, then McKenna was justified in the response and this incident actually ADDS to his character.

EDIT: There we have it. Character building moment if this quote in the following pic is true: https://www.reddit.com/r/canucks/s/djQfeuDzus

lol a kid got into a bar fight? OH NOOOOOOOO!

Fucking sign me up IMO. We need this type of grit.

  10. Chipmunk-Adventurous

Honestly, this raises McKenna’s stock imo

Kids today have no respect and self preservation instincts. They are used to say all kinds of shit on social media with 0 repercussions but sometimes real life teaches them a hard but valuable lesson.

Sounds like the case of typical American shitheads trying to cash in on a pay day settlement. Harassing him and his mom, knows he’s going to get shit kicked then cash in with a pay day.

Other dude he punched called his mom a whore so he deserved it, good on McKenna.

Someone fucked around and found out… for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. most of us have all been out to a bar, some people get to comfortable with the excuse of having a few drinks. Not saying you should be beat but it’s very possible for anyone isn’t it. Looks like a lesson of repercussions for a few hands on this night. Well deserved.

  15. nicotineneedsme

Everyones acting like they or their buddy has never been in a fight in a bar or outside the school yard. Unless it comes out he attacked someone for no reason… just relax.

  16. MagiksSon

After reading why he did it I support him and respect him more. Chirping a player is ok but harassing a players mother? Gtfo!

  17. Markgormley69

This is news today but I predict it will be a nothingburger by draft day if anything I could see it slightly increasing his perceived value

  18. bhawks1251

If the rumors are true, good on him for defending his mother. Too many people think they can act belligerent without consequence and this is the prime example of FAFO(if everything is true).

  19. UncleDingDongg

No it’s not yikes. This post is yikes.
