‘Do you believe in [medical] miracles? YES!’

  2. heyitslj

I hope he performs well but really feels like he’ll be a ghost for 3 games, get glued to the bench and then shut down for the season when he gets back to the states.

  3. Do you guys honestly think he wouldn’t be playing for the devils if he could? He’s being held out by the medical staff. Our season is over anyway. I’m glad he’ll be ready for the Olympics. I hope he plays well and contributes to team USA

Stick with a fork and spoon for your pasta Jack.

  5. Edboy04

He’ll be a traffic cone out there like he was for 4 nations

  6. beaucoup_movement

Good for him. Bunch of negative morons on this site I hope for his sake he finds a better spot.

I just want to point out the hypocrisy from the fanbase. Everyone complains about the medical staff and how they let people get injured and the whole 9, but now that they rightfully hold him out for an injury that needs to heal, you’re angry.

The timing is horrid, but he’s day to day and it’s just a stroke of bad luck that he’s not available immediately

Insane the amount of “fans” hating on him. How about we hope is gets healthy, tears it up for our country, wins a gold medal, and comes back and dominates for a miracle run to the playoffs

  9. He’s a competitor. We all know that, and a fierce competitor. If he could be playing for the Devils right now, he would be. But at this point, with our season where it is and a chance to win for your country for the first time in over a decade, that’s a big fucking deal. Good for him, and I hope our boys smoke the Canadians and take home the gold

    **GOOD**

This is a huge opportunity for him and I’m hoping for nothing but the best.

Games in Milan aren’t played til another 10 days. He’s listed day-to-day right now. Let’s not look too deep into this.

  12. fartswhenhappy

I hope he kills it, gains experience and builds confidence in big stakes tourneys, and comes back locked into beast mode.

  13. Intelligent_Coast338

As a Canadian Devils fan, I love that for him. /s

  14. DontDraftSmall

Trade him to Minnesota for Boldy and a first round pick. Let Minnesota acquire the Hughesless triad.

  15. HesitationIsDefeat87

Fuck shit up Jack. Let’s go.

  16. Critical_Gur_7785

I’m sure the smart fans will be very reasonable

  17. Nj3Fate

    I mean, okay?

He’s not ready. And our team has suffered for it.

  18. AStarkWinterfell

Whatever. I am not cheering for the US at the Olympics this year.

  19. Training-Material155

i’m probably in the minority, but I feel like these tournaments are proxy for how far you can take a team. You’re playing against the best of the best which is essentially what playoff hockey is. He was a non factor at four nations and if he does nothing here, you gotta wonder how far he can really take us. On the flipside if he does well here….. so I’m interested to see

  20. ElephantRedCar91

and right back to the ir once the season starts…

  21. nachos_16

Hes gonna suck just like he did in 4 nations.

  22. lobsterdog666

Oh thank god he’s gonna be okay for these games that don’t matter to us and don’t help us stop being a laughing stock franchise.

  23. fernandesf2

In an already lost season (you would have to be on massive amounts of copium to think this team is going anywhere), I am all for shutting down Jack after the Olympics. Most offseasons he hasn’t even had the chance to bulk up and follow a strict plan because he’s been constantly rehabbing from injuries. We would be back at square one with him if he got another serious injury before the season ends
