  1. He’s really the only Shark blueliner with first pair potential.

    Sharks are fun to watch but they still have obvious flaws on defense.

    They need to go all in on getting someone like Reid, Lin or Rudolph in the upcoming draft.

    If you’re picking 8 – 10, that happens. If you squeak into the playoffs, those guys are gone.

    There’s some good prospects coming like Cagnoni, Pohlkamp, Wang and Sahin-Wallinius but it will be a good 3 – 4 years before they all wear teal on a regular basis.

    SJ absolutely has assets to make a move for d-liners in their prime. Musty, Graf, Bystead, Misa and Cherynechov would fetch big hauls.

    Don’t get me wrong- love all of the aforementioned guys but I think the Sharks will have to make some tough choices in order to move up the standings as their current roster of blueliners is patchwork at best.
    We’re entering the difficult stage of the rebuild. We’re respectable but now need to land more defenders with first line ceilings. Those guys don’t grow on trees and those that are out there don’t come cheap.
