I thought they might do something like this. Im actually surprised that more owners dont get involved in their own broadcasts.

Feel like we need more details. I saw a crazy post yesterday about the MLB teams doing this and how fans were going to have to jump through a lot of hoops to avoid blackouts.
KombatKid
This is so vague why would they release this
MoCider
Doesn’t change my streaming plans for 2026-27 one bit 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
DoeJumars
Hate these lol I don’t give a shit who owns what or what the deal is, tell me what channel and what cable/streaming has it. What about the Pistons?
BellsBeersy
All this tells me is that the games will be broadcast somewhere
SkeazyG
So what does this mean for ESPN+?
Erick-Sheldon-1340
I swear to Christ if this makes watching games in Virginia harder i’m going to crash out with the fury of a thousand suns.
Suspicious_Walrus682
FanDuel crashing and burning.
Maybe that’ll mean the end of Logan Reever and that uncomfortable-looking analyst fellow who shares his « analysis » from his house.
FlynnLive5
“Information on cable/satellite providers and streaming subscriptions to be announced at a later date”
So just like, chill with your idiot questions and speculation everyone
chichicha99
Probably going to be like in chicago, they have what’s called « Chicago sports network » and has some local teams (Hawks, bulls, Sox) and then you’ll need espn for certain national games, etc etc..
GreatLakesDiesel
As long as im not flooded with gambling ads on this new one
WaylonLemmyJohnny
hopefully this allows me to ditch satellite completly. The Red Wings are probably about 90 percent of my tv viewing.
Mean-Ad-4602
I live in TX now and have been watching on ESPN+ for years. Wonder if this is for only in market games…
rmodsrid10ts
Ok so I expect, all wings games including playoffs, no blackouts, reasonable price, no bundles cause I don’t care about tigers

Hey guys, Google « onhockey »
All this streaming rights bullshit doesn’t have to be your problem. Recommend using Brave browser to auto block popups but otherwise the viewing experience is far better than every single streaming service or live broadcast anyways.
You’re welcome.
TechnoVikingGA23
Just bring back Light the Lamp and Trevor, have all the guys hanging out shooting the shit like they used to do pregame with the LTL picks. Honestly throw in a pregame at Ozzie’s shack every couple of games as well for good measure.
I hope this means better overall production quality for the pregame/desk/intermission, because it has been awful this season compared to last.
PremierBromanov
Massive undertaking, I hope they can pull it off but this is exactly how it should be.
wellpaidscientist
I JUST WANT ALL THE GAMES ON ONE THING THAT I PAY FOR .
PresidentBush2
Will I be refunded for buying 1 year of FanDuel through Amazon for $90

What could go wrong?
Weary-Monk9666
Sure would be great if out of market fans could watch as if we were in market.
drdougfresh
AZ has been doing something similar with the DBacks and Suns for a bit. And then conveniently, the channel that carries the Suns locally was dropped by YouTube TV 🙃
Alexander_Coe
Just sell the NHL to Amazon. If there’s one thing the tech monopoly companies should have rights to its sports.
Imagine apple and Amazon and alphabet all competing to have their sports league be the best. Finally they can get their jollies making athletes fight instead of the middle class
PSNaughtyInsomniac
And I’m sure YouTube tv will continue to not carry this.
MightyBosskTones
Cool. NOW BRING BACK TREVOR
reverend_dr_cuddles
But how am I going to watch Diggin Deep with Eric Hosmer????

Price it right and I am 100% in for this — very exciting!

I just hope that we don’t need to pay more money for a separate service.
