Cates n’a pas produit à son niveau normal depuis la blessure de TyFo, mais il a toujours été extrêmement solide au milieu. Il semble qu’il ait aussi de la malchance, avec 4.0 xGA et 11.4 GA.

I feel like this is a pipe dream for him unless he really ups his TOI or drops the actual GA. Isn’t xGA mostly based on shot distances and angles?
If cates gets the Selke, can I get Danny’s word well over pay him for 12 years?

Noah cates imo is the best center on the team.
Dvorak had a hot start but that’s not who he really is and coots is a shell of his former self
Not exactly good for the team but props to cates who’s truly one of the best defensive forwards in the nhl and can get you 35-40 points. If we were a contender he’d be a great third line center.
The only real flaw for him with filling that role is his faceoffs. Idk why he’s so bad at them. I get he isn’t a natural center but he’s been playing it basically ever since reaching the league and he’s been here a while now.
He’s been 3rd in selke votes before, his rookie year, not surprising at all
