I honestly don’t know how you can root for the USA. You’re really going to root for Sullivan, the Tkachuks, Eichel, and Miller against Cooper, Hagel, Celebrini, and McDavid?

But I think you should always root for the country you’re born in
If you’re a Bolts fan from outside the US you should root for your country first
As an American, I’m rooting for the US and I couldn’t care less what NHL team these players play for or the coaches coach for over the next couple weeks. I don’t understand how any US fan could ever cheer for one of our biggest rivals, Canada or Russia, in olympic hockey. If you want to cheer for individual players to score goals or make big time plays on the national stage, then fine, but I hope Canada doesn’t even medal here (as should every American).

Rooting for a team with Hellechoke in net is a recipe for disappointment. All the guy has ever done is play his worst hockey when it matters most. Add in the Tkachuks, and I don’t care what flag they’re waiving, they aren’t my team.
Unless Sullivan wises up and plays Ot or Sway, they’ll just lose come medal rounds.
I’m hoping Sweden or Czechia can pull off an upset and take gold. But lets be real, they’re going to have to take it from Crosby and Coop.
