I do wish they won yes but I'm happy with how well they were playing. Plus it was a tough game, we had so many shots that it the posts and didn't go in or were just slightly saved by the habs.
PP needs to be better for sure. This game would’ve moved the needle a lot..a lot. Optimistic we go at least .500 next couple. Go Sabs
I’m more irritated by the sea of red at the game than the actual game
Can't win them all and so far they've been winning them all.
Couldn't watch the game wasn't on the shitty ESPN + channel I hate. That ewwwww I hate that
I saw. Power finally gets 1 seriously can't win em all it's ok we're Sabres fans ,it's ok
Tough result to stomach. The overplay by D in the corner, as you indicated, to leave Caufield uncontested was a mistake that will hopefully not be made again. There was a lot of good. Get to Florida and win 2.
Previously, when the Sabres got behind they couldn’t come back. Last night, I believed they could come back and win. That’s the difference of this team; they weren’t out of it until the empty net goal.
It sucks that they lost; that was an important game (and I got to watch all the Montreal fans wag their Canadian asses in my face on Bluesky seriously why does that algorithm want to hurt me?) but the season isn’t over. We pick ourselves up, look at what went wrong, and use it to beat Florida in their barn on Monday.
I honestly believe Lindy pulled Lyon WAY too late into that PP. We had control of the puck in our O zone for long periods of time during that PP and even Lyon kept yelling to the bench wondering why Lindy hadn't pulled him yet! Take the 6 on 4 advantage for as long as you possibly can… not with only what was it? Like 36-40 seconds left on the PP when Lindy finally pulled the trigger? Lindy needs to show a little more trust in the boys. They've EARNED IT.
Because losing after leading that late is how teams lose playoff series.
important week ahead right cant win them all more shots less goals
Amazing analysis. 👍
Winning that game would have been nice beating them all 3x this year while they are a playoff team would have meant to me we are legit contenders but have to remind myself the way I do with the bills every year that I spent most of my life watching losing teams no playoffs from both franchises and also they play 82 games can’t win them all and so I’m glad they got a loss out of the way so we can go sweep the Florida series
We got goalied by a .894 sv % flash in the pan. We win a series against Montreal in 6 games max. Not worried
That was an awesome game to watch . I hate to say it but Montreal is so fun just like the Sabres
Lots of red jersies…. the Montreal Canadiens are the NY Yankees of hockey, they have fans everywhere they play, it's just they way it is
god i love you…im gona break a vase or somthing if u choke again
Sometimes you run out of puck luck fellas.
I was so ramped up for the game for the 1st time in 14 years and what a letdown, we will see now what the Sabres are made off by next Friday. Helenius is coming back down to earth, seems overmatched a a tad tentative after a great start.
Habs won 70% of the faceoffs.
The Sabres were 10 pts out at the end of January the last time they made the playoffs. They are not a lock to make the playoffs
I'm just tired of habs fans on our social media trash talking saying they destroyed us when the sabres played the better game overall… I hope we pass them in the standings again so they shut up…
I am a Hab's fan but its good to see the Sabres get some recognition. They have been in the shadow of the Rangers since day one. I remember watching the Sabres in 1974 when they were good enough to win the cup, but it just wasn't in the cards.
As a Habs fan, i really hope the Sabres make the playoffs and make a lot of noise. Always been a fan of Lafontaine, Andreychuk, Barnaby, Hasek etc.
