Maybe it’s just me but I’m getting annoyed how angsty this subreddit has been about Horvat. The trade was 4 years ago and Hronek is a damn good player.
No other fanbase is pathetic enough to melt down this many years later about a guy who’s scored at a 63 point pace since the trade.

Bro Canucks have played the Isles so many times and Hronek has thus played Horvat a bunch since the trade. It doesn’t make any difference if the stage is Canada vs Czechia

It’s always easy to look back on trades and call them blunders but the trade made sense at the time.
How we got there though, seems to be a common trend.
It was just a huge blunder by management to get miller signed before Horvat, when their plan was Petey-Miller-Horvat down the middle, you’d think they’d get all three on board before signing one, and hard balling the other. Horvat had every right to chase the money.

I hate when people, including even Canucks fans, dunk on Hronek. He’s currently 2nd on team’s points, a 0+/- on the worst team in the league, and averages 3 more minutes than anyone on his team.
Hronek is one of the best RHD in the league.

Habs fan here; would rather have Hronek than Horvat. Hronek is incredibly underrated and doesn’t cheat the game at all, not that Bo does, just more of a postion need.

This is just dumb. One of the pieces they got for Horvat was a pick they later used to acquire Hronek. Suggesting there’s a trade history between the 2 players is quite a generous leap. Sure you can do a trade tree and link them, but they were not actually traded for each other. But stirring the pot amongst Canucks fans is an easy, even lazy, way to drive engagement to your tweet I guess
