Hes playing with a whole team of superstars… McDavil looked average on a team of superstars the other night. Hes still the best scorer in the NHL and a superstar.

Matthews is not a leader and it's not by example, you need a vocal aggressive style captain if it were me it would be Laughton, McCabe, Tanev, Domi you don't lead a hockey team by example it's a small part of it and he is afraid of the media half the time .
I just get a feeling that Matthews doesn't like playing in Canada. He doesn't hate Canada but would love to play in LA or NY. That is just my feeling. That is the image I see.

It is the same narrative from NHL clubs and their fans. Any player on the Leafs even American will always be judged. Still love Matthews, he is a great player. Just trolls trying to stir shit.
