Mickey Redmond was on the call

    Whose stories and stats enthral

    He’d shout « Oh boy! » with a jangle

And cry « Bingo bango! » when sniped from an angle

Then polish his ginger ale charming them all

I wish Quinn Hughes was a Wing so bad

  3. Waiting around for the new hire orientation to begin. First time working away from home in about 3 years. Suddenly feel even more grateful for the WWP and Reddit hockey forums, lol.

Definitely do not agree with every single thing the winged wheel podcast had to say in their most recent episode, but got damn if 95% of it perfectly sums up my views on this team.

Some very interesting perspective, loved the quote from the dodgers GM, the wings only partially taking advantage of the flat cap era as we transition to an exploding cap era, the Wallinder comments, the fact this this team is good enough to deserve help and the advocating for adding here, the fact that we are in the primes and getting elite performances from our core, Larkin still battling and generating chances and feels likely to turn it around (please baby Jesus), elite Raymond, Norris Seider, and much more to be honest.

Yzerman has done a good job. I’ve never disputed that, but you gotta be better than some good and some bad to get where we need to go…. Focusing on his mistakes and missed opportunities does not make anyone a bad fan or doomer, it makes them engaged and hopeful.

We arguably have the most assets and best cap situation in the entire league, and some key holes to fill, not all of which (especially on defense) are likely to be filled by prospects and free agents… so… trade… or fall short of your ceiling.

I remain glued to the team building and I advocate for the can’t be only patient approach.

They did mention that you’re never sure who will be available at some future point in time, so might want to be slightly careful who you add and what you give up, however they don’t mention the fact that many more players are likely available than are discussed publicly. I am not ruling out a curveball, I just hope we get something…. The team is showing enough to deserve help.

Olympic hockey is incredible to watch and it’s great that new fans are interested in the game too, but I’m gonna have an aneurysm if I have to read another comment from someone who’s clearly never watched hockey in their life telling hockey fans they’re wrong, the thread about the Wilson fight on r/olympics is so obnoxious

    Edvinson Seider

    Chairot Johanson

    Matta ASP

    JBD

Obviously we want to get a top 4 D but even the addition of a steady, defensive, bottom pair Dman would really stabilize our blue line

It’s kind of funny how the metal gear game series would serve as a better introduction to 20th century global politics and conflict than most high-school courses. Kojima is a madman.

Another fat donut for the big Canadien

« Knocking on the door » at this point, not only is there no door, or wall that the door used to sit in. Cossa is starting to bring down the entire house.

While unofficial it’s likely GR punched their tickets to the playoffs in the second week of January

Last year the lowest team to make the playoffs had around 60 points and GR had that around January 8th
