    We never won a McDavid or Celebrini draft but we are very lucky to have drafted this guy. If the NHL doesn’t do the stupid thing, we will have a player be the most important/best player for a nation for 5-6 olympics. We are just starting with this guy.

    I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again… regardless if Wight, or Nemec, or Cooley, or anybody else go on to have a better career, Slafkovsky was the best pick for Montreal. He’s got the perfect attitude to thrive in this market.

    Yeah what I love most about Slaf is his “bring it on” attitude. That winning mentality is so important in a locker room and this kid walks the walks. He was the best possible pick for the Habs and that pressure cooker market.

    Man has this guy ever evolved. It’s a totally different slaf than years past, the guy is not afraid to go hard into the corners, forechecks and he’s found that scoring touch by driving the net. I feel that he’s gotten SO much smarter with the puck too, he’ll set up anybody for a good scoring chance. He’s the real deal
