Doesn’t make sense to give up Eiserman for a $8.125m AAV player who is having a down year in what should be a prime year (he’s 27yo). Would be very risky with him having 5 years left after this year. If he doesn’t rebound, we’d at badly lose the trade regardless of how Eiserman turns out

Not Cole.

I’d do that, as long as it didn’t cost much more than Eiserman. There’s decent risk with Kyrou, but there’s also development risk with Eiserman too. I think this is the type of big-swing, win-now but also protect the future type of move we can afford to make

Man but Eiserman could be good he could even be Jordan Kyrou. Prospect huggers in shambles.

Not big with the cap space here, but a proven 27 YO, 30+ goal scoring (off year this year) right winger is desperately needed here versus an unproven prospect.
I wouldn’t hate this if there was some retention. Easy replacement for Palms.

Love Kyrou, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense for the Isles. Having a good pool of young players when Schaefer is off his ELC is going to be valuable cap flexibility.

I’m lukewarm on this. Rupper’s been vocal about wanting us to buy and he has a point, but how much does Kyrou move the needle in 2026?
I’d love to see Eiserman at UBS but I’d have no issue dealing him or that COL 1st if the return is worth it.

No, we shouldn’t trade any of our prospects for any reason. Jordan Kyrou is Jordan Kyrou, but Cole Eiserman could be anything! He could even be Jordan Kyrou!!! /s
Darche should run, not walk to make this trade.

Stefen Rosner followed up by saying that it would be one of Eiserman/Aitcheson, a first, and then someone off the roster to make the money work. I personally wouldn’t do it just because Kyrou doesn’t make us a contender, and I don’t think this season, which is an overachievement, is worth resetting the timeline and saying « we’re in win now mode. » Also, keep in mind Kyrou has a full NTC, so all this is moot if he doesn’t want to come here.

eiserman and the avs first yes
[Also of note, the colorado first rounder has little value according to #analysis](https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/new-york-islanders/latest-news/what-is-the-true-value-of-the-colorado-avalanche-s-first-round-pick)

For Eiserman? Nah.
