J’ai vu cet article, curieux de savoir ce que pensent les gens. Ce n’est pas vraiment un bon signe à mon avis, mais cela rend peut-être les ailes haut de gamme dont nous disposons plus facilement dans un échange contre un C.

This guys ceiling is Owen Tippett v2, but with a way worse shot. So basically just a speedy winger. He can’t hack it at center in juniors so no way he will in the NHL.
A speedy top six/nine wing isn’t the worst outcome for a first round pick, but it doesn’t do much when you have a billion wingers already. Just another failure of Flyers scouting and drafting under Flahr.
what do they have to do to actually get a real center? This is beyond ridiculous. Good for him he has started playing better, but not the outcome anyone wanted, I am sure, when they drafted him.
Lol so much for reaching for a player because he was listed as a center
Last thing we need is another winger.
I hate this. He doesnt have much offense either way. He has zero shot or finishing instincts.
His best asset was being a 2 way C where you hope can at least be a good 3C like a Cates which is still valuable and hold out a glimmer of hope to be a Danault.
Being a C also helps his trade value.
Over reaching for a guy based on position, only to have him not end up in that position is so Flyers it’s not even funny.
Positing that a player should change his natural position because he scored well playing four games at wing is a ridiculous thing to do.
Do we think Jett put up eight points in four games because he got moved to wing? Or do we think he put up eight points in four games because he got moved to a situation where he plays with first line teammates instead of third line teammates?
There’s plenty to criticize and be concerned about with Jett’s game, but him being a natural wing instead of a natural center is not one of them.
If they ended up drafting what turns out to be a winger after they made an off-the-board pick due to needing centers that would honestly just be hilarious at this point. Can’t do anything but laugh at how horrid the Flyers scouting department is and nothing gets done about it.
Saying he’s changed positions to wing lacks context. He’s been doing the hybrid role where he plays center in the defensive zone and wing on offense. I think it has more to do with getting him with O’Brien than anything else, but that’s more up for interpretation.
Yeah…. no lol. He’s primarily scoring more in *an incredibly small sample size* because he’s playing with Jake O’Brien and Marek Vanacker as opposed to 3rd line players, not because of the positional change. He’s buried in Brantford down the middle due to how great Malhotra has been this season. His game still absolutely screams « Center », and saying he should be moved to the wing long term to try and maximize his offense in a system with Michkov, Martone, Konecny, Zegras, Foerster, Tippett, Barkey, Brink, Bump would be beyond dumb
The thing is they reached for Luchanko because he was a Center. Converting him to wing is absolute failure

Mmmm my favorite
Getting his scoring confidence up and then switching him back at some point is not a bad idea.
Danny Briere is just Ron Hextall with rizz and aura.
Who cares. Tocchet is only going to play him 3 minutes a game anyway.
The only thing that will help him is he gets a coach more concerned with his development than how he can currently help a team win. He needs it drilled into his head that he needs to attack open space and shoot the puck more. That still probably won’t matter. He stinks right now.
Maybe he can play Goalie? Have we tried him there? Could be the best offensive goalie ever.
OP, you need to answer for blindly falling for clickbait BS.
Ahhh this is when you really know it’s going badly. When position change conversations start lol
this would be the most flyers outcome ever
If by change of position, you mean team, then sure! 😉
People are really overreacting to this. His team has 3 excellent centers (at the junior level). It makes more sense to move one of them to wing instead of having one on the third line.
No one freaks out about Draisaitl or McDavid playing wing when paired together. Luchanko has plenty of concerns about his game, but his ability to play center isn’t really a big one. It’s more about what level he can reach as a center (AHL’er, bottom-6, middle-6, etc).
