Yeah because you finally put him in a position (centre) to succeed!
Anyone have the link to the video of this?
Allowing a natural centre man to play centre. What a genius move Jon.
Soo…basically he played like Suzuki always does.
I always felt like Jon Cooper was Nick’s number one fan lmao
The choice not to dump and change at the end of his shift was unbelievable.
That’s his MO bro
Nick Suzuki, successor to Sidney Crosby with Team Canada.
The headlines write themselves. Just hire me!

I have read all of your comments and think differently:
I do not think that the problem is necessarily Nick playing wing. I think the problem is that Nick was playing on McKinnon’s wing. I am not sure their playstyles fit. In fact, I am gonna go further and say that not many players synergize with McKinnon (from the 4 Nation as well). He is more individualistic. His mindset is « shot volume ». Nick is the opposite and favors high quality chances over volume.
With McKinnon, Suzuki is restricted to a « wait and see » game and I feel that he thus struggles to find a spot. He becomes invisible. I fear it would be the same if he was McKinnon’s center. I might be wrong though.
