Some of y’all are so sad. What’s he supposed to say? “Yeah my new teammate has been pretty shit historically when the pressures on!”

    Touch some grass lol

  2. PaymentNervous2898

I mean, so far it looks like he’s not wrong. I guess we’ll see come playoff time…

  3. stripseek_teedawt

🤷‍♂️ posts like these are why he said it.

  4. hellarios852

And here my stupid ass was thinking we were done with the stupid Marner threads… He’s a great player end of story.

  5. gotfcgo

the leafs have a hater from…winnipeg?

get out. thats not a thing.

  6. BaconWrappedEnigma

Nine seasons and… how many big goals did he score for the Leafs? I guess it’s easy to score bigger goals when your team is worth $200M+ a year.

Stone making these comments during a time that is supposed to be uniting us as a nation is definitely a choice.

  7. Letterkenny_Irish

Interesting he never gave an example from a Vegas game.

  8. GladSun3720

lol brother .. what? just scored a huge goal. let’s make it about Tor.. and we are the problem lol

Go away mitch and his golden (white) knight in stone.

  9. Blinkwave182

It is a Toronto thing. He never came up big when Toronto needed him to, 8 years in a row.

  10. 100% lol

So refreshing – let’s just admit it – every player who comes to Toronto has a huge burden and plays worse. It’s no a coincidence. It’s the fans and the media.

  11. MuchJello3865

Stone should check his numbers in games 4-7

  12. Stones a bit of a clown but he’s not wrong. Marner never came up big when in Toronto, that’s a fact. He’s had a couple nice moments on a stacked Canada team which is nice to see as a Canadian.

  13. Sixgod801

No 3on3 in NHL Playoffs, more space for Marner to work as opposed to 5on5. NHL Playoffs cannot be compared to the Olympics. The pacing is different, less physical in general, and the way the game is called is completely different as well. The rulebook is essentially tossed out in the playoffs.

Good on him but let’s be honest. During 5on5 play before overtime he was completely invisible.

  14. HuhYeahSo69

The Leafs and Vegas pretty much have the same amount of wins 😂 like Stone come on man don’t say stupid stuff.

  15. james-HIMself

Yea it’s the leafs that made him not produce for 8 straight playoff appearances lmao

  16. FredericoKrugerini

We are clowns and everyone hates us.

And at the same time the Leafs massive revenue helps sustain smaller markets that couldn’t be competitive without revenue sharing.

    We are clowns.

  17. Due_Education4092

Why does everything need to be about the leafs. I say this as a die hard. Shut up about us. Go Canada Go

  18. tortured_fanclub

Marners big plays have come in OT. Not 5 on 5 in tight physical playoff checking where time and space are at a premium. Wait for your playoff run Stone before making assumptions

  19. edmontonmatty

Haven’t seen it yet? Buddy there are tapes lol

Look, want Marner to do good for Canada. I don’t hate him, but it was time for the leafs to move on.

Whatever happens after has no bearing on the 9 years before.

  20. raremonument

Both things can be true – yes he is an incredible player, and yes he usually disappeared in games 5, 6, and 7 with the Leafs.

  21. -ApplePineapplePen-

Mark Stone can go fuck himself.

  22. DK4E2XFpbETJrj

The reality is that Mark Stone doesn’t sniff team Canada if he’s a Leaf. Enjoy the obscurity of Vegas, bro.

  23. Drew_You_To_91

I think even the biggest Marner haters can agree than he excels when he has time and space, which there’s a lot of in 3 on 3. Unfortunately you don’t get 3 on 3 in NHL playoffs.
