i agree, elliotte. my nipples are certainly erect thinking about that clutch goal.
Anyone who knows Nicks career knows that he absolutely elevates for big games. Dates all the way back to memorial and OHL playoffs.
Les tétons sont dressés. *(Nipples are erected.)*
“If Nick can generate something 1 on 4, I can do this 1 on 3.”
– Mitch Marner
I knew Suzuki would step it up the moment he had an opportunity. Can’t believe anybody doubted him being on this team. I watch as many Habs games as I can as an oilers fan and I can tell you that Nick Suzuki is a gamer and one of the greats playing today.
Nick really stepped up when Crosby was injured. That’s why you want player like him on secondary role vs players like Cirelli. He can play 4th line and be effective, but if you need help on a injured star, he can produce.
I think the critics on Suzuki were too high. He was never supposed to lead the team in points. He’s there to score point when you need him.
BIG TIME PLAYERS MAKE BIG TIME PLAYS
Big praise for Nick. Proud that he’s our captain.
Ok now put him at centre and leave him there.
Keep him at centre and move Nate up with Conner.
I found it a little disrespectful how marners goal was taking over headlines when nicks effort is the only reason the Canadians didn’t lose the game. Absolutely insane effort from the guy everyone was counting out. The habs know what kind of player he is. None of us ever doubted him
Elliotte Freidman is as wishy-washy as the wind blows! He was the one fanning the flames about Suzi being pulled from the lineup for the last week! Screw him!
Dude is a total fucking gamer that entire shift was a master class he’s clutch AF!
I didn’t realize it was him that tipped the shot right away and I already thought he made that goal happen. He’s usually the guy that makes the play happen but doesn’t get the goal so he doesn’t get the glory.
He was at the end of what could have been his last shift of the Olympics and decided NOPE. I’m not leaving the ice and we’re not losing.
Habs fans laughing at everybody else’s « wow » moment… the instant we saw he didn’t dump it but pulled it over the blue line. We knew.
I saw the moment he decided not to shoot the puck in and chase after it, I saw it and I felt it. I FELT him say in that moment “I’m gonna make this happen” it was his force and determination. We all saw it.
He is a fucking playmaker.
I agree he’s looked a little nervous (who wouldn’t!) and seeing him decide “I’m gonna take this” and be himself on that play was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever seen.
Nick, we love you
