If you bought them from the pro shop at the Garden they were usually customized there and had the correct font. Think they cost like an extra $20, but we’re worth it.
I miss the black outline of the numbers and names. Looks better than just the gold than white
They still do this to this day, they use the premier font and lettering instead of the pro style for the fanatics/adidas jerseys
