I’m with you on missing the Legion of Doom days.

And yeah, Clarke seemed to hate Lindros and his family toward the end. If I remember correctly, towards the end of Lindros’ time here was also around the time of Clarke’s infamous line about how the team didn’t ask Roger Neilson to get cancer and how Neilson « went goofy » on them.

All respect to Clarke for what he did for this team as a player, even though that was before my time, but I can’t help but feel like the Flyers would have been so much better off if he just retired and stayed home at the end of his playing career. I don’t think he was even a bad GM really, but he certainly benefited from having a huge budget in a time where there was some dramatic differences in financial strength between teams.

Angelo Catalina, Bob Clarke apologist. Kid was 26 and most likely coddled his whole life. He probably didn’t realize how bad it was, and apparently no one checked on the franchise player.

Clarke really screwed the whole thing over, even it seemed turning some of his teammates against him. POS!

  4. Lindros shouldve had an agent or someone other than his parents speaking for his career. I felt bad for him, but I always remember his camp clearly leaking and just speaking way too much, seemed to be unfair to Eric.
