Such a beauty
When I was very small, Ryan Smyth’s cousin used to babysit my brother and I. One time he was at his cousin’s house for some reason when our parents dropped us off, and he ended up hanging out and playing street hockey with us for a while. I distinctly remember at one point he hoisted me onto his shoulders to celebrate my “goal” (I’m pretty sure I literally threw the ball in the net but hey I was five) and it was the best day of my small life.
Never met him again that I can recall but that moment will stay with me forever. ❤️

You can downvote this all you want, but my hot take is ryan smyth doesn’t deserve 10% of the love he gets here. He didn’t do a whole lot the entire time he was here (minus a couple seasons he did ok with points) but I dunno I get a “Rudy” vibe with him cause he wasn’t very good but had heart
And the fact he was crying all over edmonton “not being able to tie him 100K more so he had to go to Nashville
