It does suck. He obviously really wanted it. But Slovakia is up there. Finished higher than Sweden and Czechia. That is something to be proud of.
We really need more Slafs, he has such a great winning mentality. He just wants it all, this is something you can’t teach, you have to be born with it. Some would say…4th place is good with NHL players but it really isn’t. You lost the most important games of the tournament and it sucks.

I feel like most people had Slovakia finishing like 8-10th in this tournament so for them to finish 4th is an accomplishment in itself. He should be proud.
I was very sad for him D: it was tough to watch
I love the habs and I love Slaf but Kappy played way better this game and Slaf the last 2 games was really lackluster. In the first period of this game he had a sequence where he personally caused three turnovers in his zone all consecutively and Hlavaj had to save him 2 out of the 3 times. This is not acceptable in such a big game. He really struggled. I hope he can recover quickly and bounce back when Habs return!!!

While I’m happy that we finished 4th, the effort in the 3rd period was horrible. Most of our team looked like they never skated in their lives, 2 players fell on their own in 4 seconds and it led to 4th goal, while 2 bad penalties led to the 3rd goal.
Anyway, I will be cheering for Canada tomorrow. I’m sure you will get that gold medal and make Americans seethe.
