everyone in that line should thank him because if not for the dump, chase, and tip they woulda flown home medal-less days ago

  2. ResidentSpirit4220

Still a great experience for him. I

  3. antoinePucket

« welp, not my fault » is the silver lining lmao

  4. Burbank_Billboard

Silver medal and a cute little stuffy

  5. QuarterDisastrous479

Ridiculous time on ice.. Cooper is a horrible coach honestly. Kept giving priority to bennet and marchand who were fucking atrocious.. celebrini probably had 3x suzuki ice time… how many shots did he miss?! Counted 3 on one pp.

  6. BakaDelZepha

Now for his (and Slaf, Tex, and Kappy’s) redemption arc for the Cup

  7. farthestthing1234

Hey, at least they didn’t lose to Czechia and leave empty handed. Could very well have gone that way. Disappointing  but maybe this leaves him wanting more and we get a next level Suzuki to finish the season.

  8. PtitBum97

Déçu pour lui. Si au moins y’avait Hutson pis Caufield de l’autre bord…

  9. _Rayette

It seemed like every time his line was on the ice they were getting chances. Then he’d disappear for 10 minutes. His only weakness was on faceoffs. Oh well, let’s hope he’s extra motivated now.

McDavid coughs up the puck and this will go down as the biggest choke job in Canadian Olympic hockey history.

  11. Disappointed Marchand was on the PP and not him. Questionable coaching choices.

  12. EatonHass_247

Too much of McDavid and MacK trying to be the man. Not nearly enough of Suzuki elevating his teammates.

This was a failure of leadership and coaching.

  13. Bring home your experience Nick. There’s one more award your team can win this year.

  14. TessTCulls

MacKinnons miss on empty net. I have no words.

  15. LazyBengal2point0

It was a hell of a game. Sad to see it end on 3v3 without #87, but eh…

  16. velikost-commander

Cooper proving again he ain’t the coach we need

  17. antrage

    Let this anger fuel you

  18. EquivalentStomach5

Without his goal we wouldn’t be there

  19. He’s gonna take this with him and elevate the Habs game

  20. Bill_McCarr

I’ll bet Suzuki comes home and say to himself, “thank gawd, that’s over!”

  21. Upstairs-Bonus3987

Au moins y’on eu un beau ti toutou

  22. ThicccThunder

I’m convinced that teddy bear is a humiliation ritual at this point. wtf

  23. Salty_JPizzle

Suzuki was the first one to shake hands and everyone else followed him after.

  24. Philbon199221

Not putting him on the 3v3 is criminal. He finished with +1 in this game. People asking what is he doing there are right. What is he doing there if you’re not gonna let him play, especially where he strives better than most of your other players.

  25. Flying_Toad

He should’ve had more ice time. He should’ve seen PP time. He should’ve had a shift in OT.

I have watched McDavid and MacKinnon do the same thing every single shift for the last three games: skate the puck in alone and take a shitty low % shot.

Suzuki created real scoring chances every single shift today that DIDN’T end up as a scoring chance coming the other way.

  26. KyleJ1130

Suzuki played amazing and above his pay grade. Disappointed in the loss, but God damn am I excited for Habs hockey again.

  27. bloodrider1914

He’s got his mind focused on getting a certain silver cup now

  28. Either-Objective302

Well at least John Cooper has taken some votes from Marc Crawford for worst coaching performance in an Olympics. You have probably the deepest Canadian lineup in history and you leave 80% of the team on the bench to overplay one line. Hard for the other players to get into the game when they play so little. Roll four lines get everyone in the game and keep the top players more fresh.

  29. Calinosaure

C’est un jeu d’équipe, nos superstars ont essayé de jouer en mode solo. L’absence de Crosby s’est vraiment fait sentir. Oh well

  30. JPMoney81

That’s the face of someone thinking ‘I know how to play 3 on 3’

  31. trebuchetwarmachine

I thought Jarvis, Horvat, Suzuki were all great out there today putting pressure on the USA and forechecking aggresively. But yea on a team of stacked best players in the world lets double shift Mcdavid and a clearly not 100% mackinnon.

Shoulda rolled 4 lines and given extra time to them on the PP and maybe near the end of the 3rd so they dont get so gassed

  32. ManOnFire26

I wish McDavid and Mackinnon had even half his defensive ability, they tried to play hero hockey the whole game and constantly turned the puck over
