« If u see the offers we got,I would have to walk out of here »

  2. Canucksperson

    I hope it changes quickly.

Garland has no business being on this team on June 30th, and trading him now removes the « ran out of time » worst case scenario. Moving MPetey would be a godsend as well.

Need to see Blueger, Kampf, and hopefully at least one more guy gone before the TDL.

  3. So what he’s basically saying is that the team pretty much has a deal in place for someone but that they’ll act like it isn’t for a few hours so that the league doesn’t get too suspicious because the Canucks are one of the teams that would actually get punished.

    Coconuts, build!

Trade any UFA for futures! And anyone else if we can get good value for them.

  5. Difficult-Bicycle681

As well as Garly, get Kane out of here. Have you not put us through enough torture already?

  6. EP40glazer

That could change quickly though. Hoping for Kane and Blueger trades.

  7. Benning2064

1 of Garland or Debrusk would be huge. I figure Kane, Blueger & Kampf most likely get traded closer to the TDL.

I doubt Edmonton would make this trade but something like Debrusk for Mangiapane, 2027 1st & 2028 2nd would be a nice spread of picks and would mean a 2nd year in a row wirh 2 1sts. Would love it if they could sell Bowman on a deal like that. Also gives the Canucks a shot at rebuilding Mangiapanes value up for the next TDL

  8. Blev088

That seems pretty negligent on the GM’s part less than two weeks out from the deadline. Is anyone really going to build their value that much between then and now?

  9. Hustle-like-Russell

It was kind of nice to have a 2 week break from all of this.

  10. marsisblack

Boy, this sure sounds familiar, hope it doenst go how it has recently. Just trade. Actually show fans management is serious.

  11. Robscoe604

Why does everyone want Garland gone so bad?

  12. FarmerWinter9997

Not much to trade to be fair.

Lack of centre depth and potential return doesn’t make Kampf deal likely. Plus, he helps pk with Blueger back too

Speaking of which, Blueger, as a vet and potential of 3rd line centre (4th on contender), who performs with decent wingers could be worth re-signing

Garland, unless he wants to go, I’d consider keeping as well

Canucks need good vets. You can’t rebuild without good leaders (on ice, in room, practice). Garland is this

Kane, take what you can get.

Will/could Debrusk be an option? I don’t know. I would consider moving him to free up his term but don’t expect an overwhelming return or if teams are interested. Could be Summer move but could be worth keeping if there’s a fit come Summer/or Rossi (consistent centre for him)

EP40, I would move, but again, the return is not what people expect. He’s not the guy to lead this team imo

People don’t have to like moving Petey but nothing is a straight line and I’m not sold he can/will rediscover former self

Could be Summer move, or see how he comes back in the Fall. By Christmas, if he’s Petey of this and last year, time to cut the cord . . .

Hoglander, paired with an asset to dump contract. He’s nothing more than a 3rd liner at best; and can’t be consistent under 3 plus coaches to prove he can

O’Connor, depends on offer but he could be worth extending depending on demand. Let’s be honest, he’s not gonna get much more than current contract elsewhere. 3 mil per? Plus, depth and PK

I doubt anyone would take Boeser. You hope he continues to have a good year/bad year and possibly string together a couple good seasons before he expires

Oilers (Hall/Yak/Ebs era) had poor leadership. More modern, Buffalo, is prime example. Doesn’t matter how many picks/prospects

Captain Canada was past his prime and those young Oilers weren’t following him.

When Toews and Kane came in they had guys like Martain Lapointe and Chelios (I think). Patrick Sharp

You can’t throw a bunch of kids to wolves. It’s not a video game. Hence why coaches have been preaching attitude and mind-set (country club)

Look at Abbotsford this season, I recognize injuries, but they’re not the same vet team. It matters. I honestly thought preseason, Abby could be better than last year

It’s a hard life and game. The grind. It doesn’t matter what you did in Junior or even the A. It’s a huge jump and not just in game or on ice.

This is why I would keep Garland and Blueger types. Blueger isn’t going to get a huge raise either. Again, for contenders, he’s a 4th line decent centre. He’s proven with good wingers to be a reliable 3rd liner.

With all the young cats coming up, they need these vets in line up. On paper or video game, it’s fun pencilling in 3 rookies on a line or 8-9 in lineup (how else will they develop) when in reality, it rarely works this way.

Reichel is prime example. I can list many more but this is already long enough.

    I’m not expecting much tbh

Maybe a glut of winger/prospects get dealt or paired with contract to upgrade to a 2 or 3rd. Not sure there are many 1sts coming our way unless it’s Petey, Garland going other way.

And, taking on a contract or two

  13. Crazy_Midnight_6725

Weeee suckkkk lol 😂 there always the next 20 years

  14. Wooden-Background107

After the playoffs, I would be shocked if teams weren’t calling for Blueger and Kampf.

I really hope LA Kings are serious about Petey.

  15. Warm_Masterpiece3940

I’m thinking there’s stuff we are stuck with for awhile Demko petey chytle boeser, no. One wants that and we’d feel fleeced in most of those deals, like give up a good pick to get em off the books fleeced… Then there’s debrusk Garland Marcus Petterson Myers etc. where we won’t get what we want but could do a deal.  Hroneks probably the only vet we get true value on, and he’s the only one worth keeping at the same time

  16. Jealous_Difference44

« This could change quickly. » Translation, « please keep following my tweets. »

  17. EpicPotato806

People kept saying there was some market for evander Kane.

    I hate being lied to

  18. stickinrink

I can’t imagine there will be any deals until deadline day given it’s so close now so teams minimize the cap hit they bring in.

  19. Upstairs_Bad897

5 seconds after we lose the gold medal and already we have to be subjected to this absolute abysmal club making the worst imaginable moves or lack there of I think I’m happy just not watching now or even paying attention let me know when the sharks play there first round of the playoffs. Let’s go Celebrini!

  20. BeardedIntrovert_76

I’m really bracing myself for the bare minimum with these clowns. Would love to be wrong

  21. spiritofevil99

No insider was right about Hughes trade so take it for what it’s worth

  22. SnooCheesecakes2743
