Best player in the world? No but really, this is good to see (as much as it sucks for Canada to lose). It shows that he CAN play well and perform in these sort of do or die games, we just need him to carry it over into the NHL now. Maybe this will be a turning point for him and we’ll start to see better of him in game 7s in the future? Or maybe I’m just coping. I guess we will see what the future holds.
In saying that I wouldn’t say he looked particularly dangerous offensively.

Honestly, leafs should be trying to move him before he gets hurt. AM34 era is over here and the sooner Leafs start building a team without him as the centrepiece and chief salary anchor, the sooner we can move on and enjoy hope again.
