Not saying Lark doesn’t deserve to celebrate and enjoy his gold medal. I have and will never know what it’s like to win Olympic gold for your country. After more than 40 years, no less, a lot of us weren’t even alive when USA last won… Who am I to say? Or judge?

I wish I had grown up around hockey more as a kid so I wasn’t so suddenly caught off guard by the culture. I watched and played outside but never in any organized fashion. I didn’t realize how kind of lame the players are. I get having fun but this just looks so stupid. It’s probably mostly my own interests and preferences coming through as I’ve never been much of a « partier » but I can’t help but think how dumb this looks to me.

Trade him. He’s not our guy. Personally, I’ve never truly thought he was. Yzerman. Lidstrom. Zetterberg. Major talent that showed up! Huge skates to fill and I’ve never really felt like Larkin even comes close to living up to it. I don’t think he has the fight to lead a team deep into the playoffs. He’s a good hockey player, but he’s no superstar.
