How about that weather outside, aye? 😬

Man I cannot wait to see Mick back on that screen. And have missed hearing Ken’s play by play big time. Tomorrow can’t come soon enough

Detroit is one of the largest cities in America to be majority Black people. It definitely holds that title of any city with a NHL team.

The captain of its NHL team has giddily aligned himself with the man in the foreground who is why Rep Al Green protested this way.

Oh and the man in the foreground probably raped at least one child and is covering up who knows how much more.

And is skirting his job responsibilities too.

Here’s to not collapsing in March this year! 😅

I strongly suspect that Yzerman or some other higher up forced Larkin to come home before the State of the Union, but I’m glad it happened either way.

It’s going to be weird watching guys like JT Compher and Michael Rasmussen after watching USA vs Canada best on best.

Winning the Olympic is 100% gonna to be the ultimate motivator for Larkin going forward too. He’s been fighting through it on losing & rebuilding teams his whole career so far while giving it his all and more. And now that he got his first taste of winning something big (especially something that hasn’t been won in 46 years), and has absolutely delirious (s/o Bob kaser’s fav term) and through the roof with joy every second since. He’s going to be so driven to reach that winning feeling again in Detroit, an I can’t even imagine what it’d feel like winning a cup in his shoes in Detroit after these years

Larkins gonna play like shit tomorrow but luckily so will Brady 😂😂

  9. This whole thing is making me realize that I don’t think I’d be that delighted to shake *any* politician’s hand (and obviously there are gross orders of magnitude, etc, because jfc, come on). Feeling so jaded, and like the whole system is just so insurmountably, fucking futile. But maybe that’s just the depression lol (though porque no los dos I suppose).

Larkin being on the game winning line for Team USA is awesome, and winning gold could absolutely have a positive impact on his confidence and leadership moving forward.

If he doesn’t suit up for tomorrow’s game, that would make sense considering how much energy he’s expended representing the United States over the past couple of weeks. It’s also important to remember that many NHL players are in the same position — logging heavy minutes in high-intensity international play before returning to their clubs.

As for the broader context: the NHL last participated in the Olympics in 2014 in Sochi. The league did not send players to the 2018 or 2022 Games, meaning it has been 12 years since we’ve had a true best-on-best Olympic tournament featuring NHL talent. So whenever full NHL Olympic participation resumes, there will naturally be growing pains — roster disruptions, fatigue concerns, and fan frustration when players miss NHL games.

But representing your country in the Olympics is a once on a career opportunity for many players. When that moment comes again, we’ll likely see similar issues across multiple teams. I’d hope that if I had the opportunity to represent my country in the Olympics, fans would understand what a momentous honor that is and show some grace.

There will only ever be one Yzerman – his work ethic was second to none and it’s unfair to compare any captains against each other.

However, it is cool to know that every captain that has been on the Red Wings since Yzerman, that is Lidstrom, Zetterberg  and Larkin have won a gold for their country. That’s pretty neat for the franchise

Poliwrath’s body is almost entirely muscle, and the muscles in its arms and legs never tire. It also has zero percent body-fat. When it swims, it uses all of the muscles in its body and is able to swim vast distances with minimal breathing. It is even capable of briefly running on the water’s surface. It can also smash through ice and plow forward using its strong arms. Poliwrath is capable of out-swimming even world-class swimmers. Poliwrath is also skilled at martial arts. It can launch powerful square punches capable of crushing boulders into dust. Many children learn how to swim by replicating Poliwrath’s movement. It is one of the most gifted swimmers among all Water-type Pokémon.

I just found out Tony Soprano is racist. Wtf.

9 days till the trade deadline. I imagine trades will pick up by the end of this week. It’ll be interesting to see who Yzerman lands and what the cost is. I’m not ready to say bye to any of our prospects but it’ll be for the greater good of the team (hopefully).

I feel so bad for Mazur. We need a guy like him in our bottom six *right now*. But do we even have any faith that he can be healthy for any extended period of time :/

  15. Pale_Land_5107

Pokemon violet has 400 Pokemon registered good luck trying to complete that

  16. mcgrupp44

Is Carter Mazur going to be Darren Helm 2.0? Lots of talent but can’t play a full season due to lingering injuries.
