  4. nofakefans18

  5. coldbrew40

  6. ModernArgonauts

I liked the “Ugh” jersey better

  7. Hot-Challenge-2755

anytime someone talks shit about a right winger on this sub, there’s a sudden influx of flairless accounts in the comments

burners or people just squatting around to argue? who knows

  8. AmericansAreRotund

I like how this turned into a political discourse on twitter. Like if you find that offensive, you’d really hate to see what I did with a bunch of old Messier jerseys

I don’t think anyone has a problem with Hughes winning the gold. It’s all the stuff that came after that people are upset about.

I think subtly goes a long way when you are doing these things… this just looks trashy and unhinged.

I’d love to see the city flooded with these when Minnesota come to Van in the near future…

I like it. I loved him as a player. But, he mentally checked out, and abandoned his team when he demanded out and punctuated it with differential play. Good luck with your quest Quinn. Me – first rarely wins (unless your goalie wins it for you) in the NHL but you never know…..

You sure thats not a vest? 😛

    trump is an anthropomorphized abortion.

  18. Upstairs_Bad897

Fuck em hope he gets booed so bad when he shows his stunned face here again

As a parent who bought his kid a Hughes jersey last year, it would be great if the team store offered a trade-in or something. I don’t want my kid wearing this jersey but cant afford a new one

  20. GrizzlyBearAttac

After what happened, I wanted to sell my Hughes jersey so I went to marketplace and look at what I could potentially get. Man I was surprised with the amount of Hughes jersey for sale and how low the prices were… truly remarkable how quick his legacy went down the drain.

  21. outofnowhere1010

How is he being perceived by Minnesota fans and people . I mean all 3 of the players with what went on there .

  22. Lunaticfrizz16

Mine will most likely just sit in my closet now. Will wear my Petey or my Linden to games until there is a new player I like enough to get their jersey.

  23. Direct-Start-9048

    Great skater.
Worst Captain we have ever had.

  24. MrPantsyFlants

In spite of the placement of the jersey, whoever left it there is NOT on the fence regarding his feelings.

I may get downvoted to hell, but while Hughes deserves all the criticism for his actions, and I understand the anger towards him for both no longer wanting to be a Canuck as well as him sucking up to the president who I strongly disagree with… this just seems like venting and trying to get catharsis. Hughes has hurt us, so we want to hurt Hughes. This doesn’t lead to anything better.

When people do wrong, you need to look at the situation and consider if they are redeemable. I don’t think even the most ardent Hughes hater thinks Quinn Hughes shares the brain of Trump or supports people being hurt, pedophilia, or whatever else. While his actions show support of that indirectly by enthusiastically getting photo ops and going to the SOTU, I think he is acting out of the ignorance of a 20-something rich dude that just doesn’t have the same problems as us.

So, as members of society that care about those issues— what do we do want the outcome to be? If we treat Hughes like some irredeemable monster, that’s all he will be. Nobody gets shamed into being progressive. Nobody gets bullied into caring about others for very long.

I think it’s important to show people like Quinn what they have done is wrong and how it affects people. We need to appeal to having him understand what went wrong. We need to ensure everyone who does something out of ignorance has a path to redemption.

Shit like this jersey covered in insults further creates a division because once you start calling someone a “pedo lover” they probably will never intellectually engage with you. They will dismiss you as a crackpot, because nobody would ever consider themselves that.

  26. krobreed

Holy shit someone forgot to take their meds.

  27. 1uno124

Really taught him a lesson, so stupid.
All this stuff does is teach guys to avoid speaking on anything.. it’s ok for folks to disagree with you

  28. SIGNANDSELFIEFRAMES

Now that is trying to send a message and not just yapping online. Leaving an expensive jersey there like that
