He’s been a bit better this year and I wouldn’t mind it as long as retention is such that the cap hit is south of 5. It’s a bit tough to see the lineup fit though. I don’t think you can play him and Point together and I don’t really like the fit with Cirelli. Maybe you spread the stars throughout the lineup and roll four lines but I feel like putting him with linemates that don’t create a bunch of chances neuters what he’s good at
With salary retention – I’ll take Stamkos back.
Love Stammer but that contract is untenable. I want our boy back but nowhere near 8m. He still has 2 years on his contract and no one us going to withhold 50% of that.
