He needs to actually swing a good one and hey hes got a great team and what do you give up?!? That's my only question. Hockey doesnt seem like basketball where picks will get you who you want. I dont wanna lose Mercer, I dont wanna lose Nemec, I personally think his time to strike was the off-season. And IF Dandanov and all the guys had been healthy I think they'd be okay I really do. But his time was the off-season. Maybe we can get one of the ducks 7 studs or sharks studs but yeah we need something. Maybe when Jack gets back and EVERYONE IS NOW THERE, it'll work. But I think their hiding something about this injury. He hurt his hand at a diner in Chicago like it just seems so weird. I really think they'll be OK. But it's just a tough time right now.
Yeah thats a great point the devils depth is an issue but why not bring up the young guys. Look at some of the top scorers this year. What 3-6 of them cant even legally drink?!?!?!?! So like you said what could be wrong. And depth scoring is the Florida Panthers, its the Dallas Stars, the Carolina Hurricanes, the LA Kings ETC.

Could be the nail in the coffin for Fitz if he lets this season get away from him based on his lack of moves. Might be the Devils are out of the playoffs based on December’s schedule.
Losing own player and falling like dominos is absurd and unacceptable that we have 2 new additions in dadanov and macewan who only played 4 and 2 games as Devils respectively
I think it’s fair at this juncture that most fans are livid and want Fitz gone. He’s frankly inept. Not offloading Hamilton and Palat last season has now prove detrimental because their value has no close to 0! And jumping the gun in the Marky extension when he’s clearly toast and injury prone is beyond words! Scratch Lammikko FFS and bring up Halonen! As far as scoring goes, it helps not shooting into the goalies shin pads or straight to his chest!!!!
With regards to bratt he’s putting up assists where are the others to finish because he’s creating and his limitation is that he isn’t a mcdavid, hughes, Crosby etc. This squad is not built like Florida or canes where the depth is there

The only thing that’s clear is the Devs need to rid themselves of Jack for durable playoff-type players. As talented as he is, He’s far too fragile and will never last through a playoff run. So why keep him? Finesse, Jack Hughes-style play never ever works in the NHL playoffs.
The Devils core players play a European wide open style and they’re wildly overrated.
Fitz mostly sucks.
If we don’t get a top 6 forward and Quinn come deadline, the season is over . Players are exposed when Jack goes down and there are plenty that should depart this team .
