I’m sad the Laine experiment didn’t work out. Rooted for him so hard. Hopefully he has a fresh start that can stick this time.

I’m probably in the minority on this one and I know we already have too many players but Laine can help this team. Our PP has been good but I think you have to at least give him a chance he has one of the best shots in the league.

  4. He just doesn’t fit the team work ethic and he’s always injured. We already have Dach for that.

Even though some medias have been trying to paint Laine as some sort of disgruntled guy who could be a cancer around the team if we don’t get rid of him, I haven’t seen anything from the team or himself to suggest that it’s the case. He doesn’t fit the team on the ice at this point, but I hope he gets to bounce back somewhere. His attitude seems to have been positive all the way through.

Take out Gallagher, put on Laine. That has to be a major upgrade. Why are we moving this guy?

Ryder, Halak, Laine for a first pick!

Good. Hope he finds a new team. Sucks not get to play.

I wish him well, he was a huge part of why we made the playoffs last year. But I’m a little tired to hear all the trade rumors around him honestly. Dude seems healthy, why is he not playing right now?

That means they tried to trade him and couldn’t find anyone willing to take him

Sad, but Laine has a whole new fan base behind him for his future success. Laine and his wife are genuine people I will cherish, for being a part of this organization and for being open to help people with mental health issues. Go Habs go, as far as business decisions go, this is better than getting a dog and asking for loyalty, this is showing empathy and honesty.

Injuries suck. For a time, he was really good at that left circle.

  13. Lanky-Present2251

I’m keeping my fingers crossed they can trade him.

Not surprised. And to think that some hockey writers/execs were ranking him ahead of Matthews in the 2016 draft. High end shot but man has he fallen.

But how will this affect Laines own Dynasty team is the real question? Will he have access to a ps5 24/7 at the new team? How will his fish survive the move? These are questions we should be asking if we really care about him as an individual.

Laine was one reason why Lane collected at least 10 apples during last season’s PP. Which helped him to win Calder Trophy…
