  1. I love how this article basically says « We’re cash strapped and full of NMCs, and adding Quinn Hughes wouldn’t have solved any of the problems on this roster, but its a crime they didn’t still trade for him ».

As if Quinn Hughes wanted to go from one losing team to another.

Everything in the article’s boil down equates to « He secretly NEEDS to be in New Jersey because of his brothers and the Wild would be much happier with 6 of our JAGs and a FRP or two ». This is just a glorified fanfic for Devils fans. They have a lot more issues that Quinn doesn’t singlehandedly solve for them and have a ton of money tied up as is. Our money is tied up in plus value contracts and our only major area of lack is 1C/C Depth. The Wild are leaps and bounds the more attractive organization for any elite player who has desires for long term success.

He loves minnesota and it seems more and more sure that he’s gonna resign here

Let their fan rags be dumb, desperate, and sad.

If the wild don’t sign him this summer, then I’d be open for business. You can’t risk 1 more playoff run and get nothing back in return.

If he’s not signed before the start of next season, he obviously doesn’t want to stay here. It’s pretty cut and dry. If he likes it here, thinks he can win here, he would sign here.

The Wild are in a good spot either way. Yes losing him would suck, but if we get a massive haul back, it would suck quite a bit less.

The only way we lose is to come up with no cup and have Quinn leave for nothing in return. Can’t let that happen.

I have never before seen a trade in sports so utterly destroy a team that wasn’t even involved. After Quinn came to Minnesota everyone was debating who won the trade, the Wild or Canucks. No one thought to say the Devils lost.

My favorite part is when his strategy is to call BG every day and tell him the Wild are going to lose Quinn for nothing if he does trade him to the Devils for a bunch of their JAGS. I don’t know about you, but it would take about two calls for me to just decide I’m not dealing with New Jersey out of principle.

I think a lot of the upset also comes from the fact that there is a real possibility and fear that they could lose Jack now. Quinn is not the only one that wants to win.

Maybe Fitzgerald knows something the rest of us don’t?

Im sure they tried. Probably just post olympic fomo from people.

    >I understand that eventually we would get to a point where the juice isn’t worth the squeeze, but to me, that’s only if we’re talking about guys like Nico Hischier or Jesper Bratt.

The fact this guy thinks overpayment for Quinn Hughes begins with Nico Hischier is clear indication of being emotionally compromised.

If we were to consider trading Quinn, I’d be starting that conversation with, « Hischier and/or Bratt in any deal or go fuck yourself. »

    There are 30 other teams.

still think it’s funny that this trade caused a completely unrelated team to break down
