JBB and to a certain extent Coop have said that they won’t disrupt geekies development by having him up to play 4th line minutes. But based on James and Gonzos deployment, and what they’ve said I would expect Geekie to get good ice time with skill guys which is great imo. As long as James isn’t season ending this isn’t too bad.

Woo! Sucks for me in Syracuse, but I’m super happy to see him get a shot. I really think people are going to be impressed with his progress. He definitely has less of that Bambi on ice look. I do hope he comes back at some point, I have some Upper Deck Young Guns cards to get signed, lol.

I have to say first, I love this kid , that being said he always looks like he is about to break out and start scoring , he fizzles out. I hope he flips the switch this time up and puts that biscuit in the basket 10 times or so.

At this point they’re thinking Playoff matches right? I think it’s testing time in a second or third line and see how it goes. If it plays well, we’ll see Geekie with us on the playoff. That’s how I read the situation.

Also we need to stop suggesting that Geekie should be in any trade deal. JBB made it super clear back in November that he’s going to be a key piece for our squad in upcoming seasons.

Likely it’s a pretty extended geekie call up due to James condition(hopefully not a season ended he’s been great for us!) thoughts on geekie being involved in a trade package to get the likes of weegar, Blake Coleman back or even evander kane(top speculations for the bolts rn) or would we rather give up oreilly? I think it’s clear geekie is our best young “prospect” and it would really hurt to move him but for a veteran that can help them win RIGHT NOW, maybe..
