I like Arber, but he’s a non-factor this season, and it would be nice having bottom pair defensemen who can play more than 8 minutes a night. He has less value than he once had, but some team will still overpay for a guy like him
I personally don’t have much interest in anything Calgary’s selling.
Whitecloud/Kadri? I’d rather get rid of Struble much more though.
I love the idea of Xhekaj, and he seems like a great guy, but he doesn’t seem like a long term guy on a contender team to me. Neither does Struble really, but one of them has to go either now or in the summer to make some room.
I’d think he’s the kind of player dumb GMs would overpay for too, more so than Struble.

I’d rather keep him around as a 6/7 and good team guy than trade him. I like Struble too but you’ll never ever hear any fan say I wish we had a guy like Struble on our team. I don’t know who zurkowski is but I hope there’s no legs to this
I don’t care about prospects… but a big, affordable and IMPROVING 6D with a ton of heart like Arber! He’s a keeper.
Eventually we will need his physicality in the playoffs, and his Dman fundamentals are improving. His last game got a lot of praise!

Xhekaj is lke the player I will always irrationally defend. He’s been playing a lot better recently, and without him we become such a physically fragile team, with most of our physical players (Ghule, Dach) essentially breaking like lego bricks whenever they hit too hard.
I would be genuinely super duper sad to lose Xhekaj.
Trading Arber for anything Calgary will reasonably offer seems foolish to me.
Calgary can suck it. That’s my professional opinion.
